Final Fantasy 10 is 25 years old, and Square Enix is marking the anniversary with something you can actually put on a shelf. The RPG originally launched on PlayStation 2 in 2001 and introduced players to Tidus, Yuna and the world of Spira. Now its music is getting a dedicated physical release.
What Eternal Calm actually is
Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm is a 2-disc vinyl collection built around the game’s soundtrack. The set contains 20 selected tracks, and the records use a clear design inspired by Spira’s seaside environments, so the presentation leans hard into the collectible side of things.
Among the songs included you’ll find:
- “Zanarkand”
- “Otherworld”
- “This Is Your Story”
- “Tidus’s Theme”
- “Besaid”
- “Blitz Off!”
- “Enemy Attack”
- “Fight With Seymour”
- “Yuna’s Theme”
- “The Sending”
The physical track list continues with pieces such as “Hum Of The Fayth,” “Spira Unplugged” and “Ending Theme.”
New artwork from Tetsuya Nomura
For the anniversary, Square Enix commissioned brand new artwork from Tetsuya Nomura, created specifically for this release. That makes Eternal Calm more than a straight reissue of existing packaging – it’s a new piece of merchandise tied to the original game rather than another re-release of the RPG itself. If you follow this kind of collector’s item, we’ve also covered the Final Fantasy 9 music box.
An MP3 code for the full soundtrack
Eternal Calm goes beyond those 20 songs. The vinyl set includes an MP3 download code that gives you 89 tracks from the original soundtrack, though Square Enix notes that two songs are excluded. The code has a limited number of uses and may eventually have a time limit attached to it, but it makes the package useful even if you don’t own a turntable.
Release date and what to watch out for
Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm is scheduled for November 2026 and is already up for pre-order on the official store, which also lists the complete soundtrack contents. Because this is an imported vinyl release from Japan, Square Enix warns that some of the packaging may be in Japanese and that customs handling could add extra shipping delays – worth factoring in if you’re ordering from outside Japan.
