These days Discord can do much more than chat. Most of the work on a server is handled by apps that everyone still calls bots: they moderate, hand out roles, watch for spam and raids, play music, collect stats or connect your server with YouTube and Twitch. This section shows you how to find them, add them to your server and set them up so they do exactly what you want.
Every guide takes you step by step, from inviting the bot through permissions to the first test on a live server. For permissions we always spell out what the bot can actually see and what you don’t need to give it; the fastest way to break your server is to click through an app with administrator rights.
