Resident Evil is hitting its 30th anniversary, and Capcom is marking the occasion with something you can actually eat. Starting on October 13, Japanese entertainment chain Pasela Resorts will serve a full survival horror menu built around the series, and you have roughly two months to try it – the collaboration is scheduled to end on December 7.
These limited-time food collabs are a staple of Japanese fan culture, but they rarely come back once they close. And since this one is tied specifically to a 30th anniversary, the odds of a rerun are slim. If a trip to Japan happens to line up with that window, this is a short one.
What’s on the menu
The lineup consists of three main dishes, two desserts and a set of drinks themed after the series’ protagonists.
- Duke’s Kitchen: Bird and Beast Energy platter – fried chicken, roast pork, onions, mushrooms, garlic and soft-boiled eggs with a spicy sauce.
- Zombie’s Eye Keema Curry – keema curry topped with hard-boiled eggs, black olives, red bell peppers, tomatoes and seasoning, arranged into a very unsettling eyeball.
- 30th Anniversary Special Umbrella Margherita – a margherita pizza shaped like the Umbrella Corporation logo, finished with a green basil sauce.
For dessert there’s the Biohazard Special Petit Honey Toast, loaded with chocolate whipped cream, ice cream, blueberries, chocolate cookies and raspberry sauce plated to look like mangled bloody eyeballs. The second option is the Umbrella Corporation Special Parfait with Antidote: coffee jelly, raspberry, sponge cake and chocolate ice cream, served with a blue lychee syrup “antidote” you inject into the dessert yourself.
Drinks for your favorite hero
The drink menu splits the cast between alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Jill, Claire and Grace get the mocktails – a blue chocolate tapioca drink for Jill, a strawberry Chardonnay-flavored cranberry drink for Claire and a mint yuzu tea for Grace. Chris, Leon and Ada get the real thing: a Russian herb coke for Chris, an “invigorating” mojito for Leon and a sangria cocktail for Ada.
Freebies for buyers
Anyone who orders gets merch thrown in. Every purchase comes with a random trading card featuring one of fourteen heroes and villains from the series, and food or dessert orders also net you a random postcard with art based on the covers of all the mainline games. Full details are listed on the official Pasela collaboration page.
What it means for you
If you’re outside Japan, this one is strictly a look-and-envy situation – but the anniversary year itself has plenty more attached to it. A new Resident Evil manga launches on the very same day the event opens, and the franchise has a busy 2026 and beyond lined up. We’ve covered the rumored timing for Resident Evil Veronica, and if you’d rather play the classics right now, Capcom’s Switch 2 lineup has six of them.
Where to next: we’re tracking the film side too, including who Zach Cregger wants as Lady Dimitrescu, and everything else lands in our Resident Evil news hub.

It depends on the character. Jill, Claire and Grace have non-alcoholic drinks, while Chris, Leon and Ada get alcoholic ones.
There’s no indication that it will. Limited collabs like this one usually don’t come back, and since this is tied to the 30th anniversary specifically, a repeat is unlikely.
