Spooky season has landed in Los Santos. Rockstar has laid out the full Halloween program for GTA Online in October 2026, and it mixes free cosmetics, cash bonuses and the return of several seasonal modes. New giveaways and rewards rotate roughly every seven days, so if you only log in once a month you will miss some of them.
What you can grab between October 8 and 14
The first batch of rewards is tied to a short window and splits into two tiers:
- Pink Skull Emissive Mask + GTA$100,000 – win in two Adversary modes between October 8 and 14.
- Twilight Knife T-Shirt – completely free for anyone who simply logs in during those same dates.
In other words, one item costs you nothing but a single session, the other asks for a couple of wins. Both are limited-time, so there is no point waiting.
Bonuses running all month
Outside the dated exclusives, the Halloween event stretches across the whole of October:
- Apprehending Standard and Most Wanted Bail Office Targets pays double GTA$ and RP.
- Completing all the weekly challenges nets you a GTA$2,000,000 bonus.
- The Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode is back in rotation.
- All Halloween Survivals are handing out 3x GTA$ and RP throughout October.
- Jack O’Lanterns are scattered across Los Santos again and can be collected for rewards.
Ghosts Exposed, Slasher and the race series
Rockstar has also brought back Ghosts Exposed with double GTA$, and photographing all 10 spirits unlocks the Ghosts Exposed Jacket for free. On the racing side, the Zombie Town Circuit and the other Halloween-themed additions to the Community Race Series are paying triple GTA$ and RP until November 4 – and the same multiplier applies to Slasher mode.
Put together, that is a generous stack of boosted activities. If you have been sitting on an empty garage or an unfinished shopping list, October is a reasonable month to grind. Rockstar published the full breakdown on its Newswire.
Why GTA Online is still getting this treatment
GTA Online launched nearly 13 years ago and Rockstar has kept piling content onto it ever since. Even in 2026 it pulls in a remarkable amount of money every day, which explains why it keeps getting seasonal events while Red Dead Online, despite being far newer, does not.
The obvious question is what happens once GTA 6 arrives. The online portion of GTA 5 showed up two weeks after the game’s release, but it looks like GTA 6 Online could take considerably longer – which would give you time to get to know Leonida on your own before heading into a lobby full of other players.
