Artist Alley Returns to Festival Life!, and It Wants Your Art

The gaming part of Festival Life! takes over the whole of Pavilion P, and this time around it runs across a full weekend – November 20 to 22. Dozens of exhibitors will set up there, and over the three days more than 20,000 visitors are expected to walk through. The program and the exhibition floor keep growing every year, and one of last year’s additions is coming back for good: Artist Alley.

Artist Alley is becoming a tradition

Artist Alley debuted as a dedicated space for artists and the response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive. That feedback is the reason it returns to Brno again this year, which turns last year’s experiment into a fixture of the festival.

The plan is to push it a level higher than the first run – and that part depends on creators themselves. If you make things, you can become one of the artistic pieces of a three-day carousel of games, cosplay, esports and entertainment. For an independent artist or creator, a crowd of that size can be exactly the audience your original work has been missing.

Who the call is aimed at

The organizers are specifically looking for:

  • illustrators
  • graphic artists and designers
  • comic creators
  • makers of original products and merch
  • any other creatives who can add another dimension to the biggest gaming event of the year

How to get in

Getting a spot is a three-step process. You fill in the registration form, buy the special exhibitor ticket, and once the payment goes through you become an official exhibitor of the festival. All the details, including conditions and the form itself, live on the Artist Alley page, with general info about the event on the official festival site.

What else is happening in Pavilion P

Artist Alley is not the only open call tied to the festival – we also covered the Indie Zone for independent developers in a separate article. If you follow the Brno gaming scene more broadly, we wrote about GameDev Connect 26 as well, and the rest of our coverage sits in our gaming articles section.
