Cyberpunk 2077 has four full romance options: Judy Alvarez, Panam Palmer, River Ward and Kerry Eurodyne. This guide covers which body type and voice V needs for each one, which missions decide the romance, how many relationships you can pursue at once and what the hangouts added in update 2.1 bring. A heads-up first: the article names characters and missions but does not describe the story, and specific choices only appear in a section with a spoiler warning. It applies to version 2.x on all platforms, as of 20 October 2026.
Who V can date
There are four romances in Cyberpunk 2077, and each one is tied to the body type you choose for V in the character creator. For two of them the voice matters as well. Think about body type and voice when you create your character, because that choice opens some romances and closes others.

Requirements for each romance (spoilers)
Warning: spoilers from here on. We name specific choices in missions but do not describe the story. For every romance you need to play through that character’s side job line. In a few places, though, one wrong decision is enough to lock the relationship for good.
Judy Alvarez
Play through Judy’s whole side line. In the mission Pisces, do not accept Maiko’s plan or her money. You then confirm the relationship in Pyramid Song. The romance only works for V with a feminine body type and a feminine voice.
Panam Palmer
Panam’s line begins with the mission Riders on the Storm. Watch out here: you have to arrive in time, otherwise the romance fails. You confirm the relationship in Queen of the Highway. V needs a masculine body type, the voice can be either.
River Ward
You meet River in the side job I Fought the Law. In the mission The Hunt you have to save Randy. You confirm the relationship in Following the River. The romance is for V with a feminine body type and any voice.
Kerry Eurodyne
The way to Kerry leads through a line of side jobs with Johnny Silverhand. The romance itself comes in the mission Boat Drinks. Kerry is only available for V with a masculine body type and a masculine voice.
Can you have more than one relationship?
You cannot have all four romances in one playthrough, because the body type and voice requirements rule it out. At most you can pursue two at the same time:
- Judy and River – for V with a feminine body type (and a feminine voice for Judy).
- Panam and Kerry – for V with a masculine body type (and a masculine voice for Kerry).

Hangouts with your partner since update 2.1
Update 2.1 from 5 December 2023 added repeatable hangouts. Once you have completed a romance, you can invite your partner to any of V’s apartments. The relationship does not end after the confirming mission, and you can keep meeting your partner.
Does Phantom Liberty add new romances?
No. Songbird, Solomon Reed and Alex from the expansion are not romance options, and the choices stay the same four. What the expansion adds instead is summed up in our Phantom Liberty guide.
