The October 28, 2026 update for AION 2’s global servers in Europe and the Americas lowers boss damage, increases base HP for all eight classes, and adds Hard mode to Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island. You also get a new Daily Dungeon, expanded Crafted Gear progression, and new attendance and Daeva Pass rewards.
This overview covers the global version only. If you don’t have the game yet, you can visit its Steam store page. All times below are in CET.
Expedition and Transcendence bosses become more manageable
- Normal Expedition and Transcendence Stage 1: Boss Attack decreases by 15%.
- Hard Expedition and Transcendence Stages 2–4: Boss Attack and Damage Boost each decrease by 10% from their previous values.
- Transcendence Stages 1–2: Boss HP decreases by 6.5%.
If your character is still progressing, these changes should reduce the risk of dying to a single powerful attack. Lower HP in the first two Transcendence stages should also make it easier to finish before prolonged fights trigger Frenzy. These are reductions to the listed stats, not a blanket promise that every incoming hit deals exactly 10% or 15% less damage.
Hard Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island
Both dungeons gain Hard mode with an entry requirement of item level 2700, a four-minute boss Frenzy timer, and a limit of three revives per player.
Rewards and Ariel Fragment conversions
- Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation (Bound) can drop and can also be selected as a guaranteed reward.
- The corresponding dungeon guarantees Ariel Fragment: Urugugu (Bound) or Ariel Fragment: Vakron (Bound).
- Expedition Hero Artwork has a chance to appear as a reward.
- Kina rewards are higher than on Normal difficulty.
- Both Hard dungeons offer all the listed Unique crafting materials: Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will, and Wrathful Ego.
- New Expedition (Hard) achievements award Unique Skins.
Substance Morph lets you exchange 100 Ariel Fragments for one Daevanion Crystal: Ariel (Bound), up to 30 times per character. Find that recipe under Special > Daevanion. Alternatively, one Ariel Fragment converts into five Enhance Stones with no conversion limit, under Special > Consumables.
For you, this means two additional sources of Ariel Fragments and Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation once you meet the entry requirement. The four-minute timer and revive cap still matter, even alongside the broader boss nerfs. For the preceding dungeon additions, you can read our October 21 patch overview.
All eight classes gain base HP
The patch lists the following base HP changes at level 45:
- Gladiator and Templar: 4,702 → 6,202, an increase of 1,500 HP.
- Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Chanter, and Cleric: 4,702 → 5,702, an increase of 1,000 HP.
Assassin skill adjustments
- Heightened Sixth Sense: its HP effect increases to 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 at skill levels 5 / 10 / 20.
- Illusive Clone: base cooldown decreases from 90 seconds to 60 seconds.
Combined with the boss Attack reductions, the extra HP should make Expedition and Transcendence more forgiving for less-developed characters. Gladiator and Templar receive the biggest base increase, while Assassin also gets a stronger HP effect and more frequent access to Illusive Clone.
Odylium Repository joins the Daily Dungeon rotation
The new Daily Dungeon, Odylium Repository, awards a set quantity of Soul Crystals (Bound) based on your clear points. It shares its entry count with Daily Dungeon: Daeva Bio-Research Base.
You gain another option for earning Soul Crystals, but not a separate pool of Daily Dungeon entries. Keep the shared count in mind when choosing where to spend your runs.
Crafted Gear gets higher Amplify caps and more Transfer options
Crafted Gear and Expedition Gear with comparable stats will now share the same maximum Amplify level. The Crafted Gear caps change as follows:
- True Dragon and Star Dragon: maximum Amplify level increases from 1 to 3.
- Splendent True Dragon and Splendent Star Dragon: 1 → 3.
- White Dragon and Dark Dragon: 3 → 5.
- Splendent White Dragon and Splendent Dark Dragon: 3 → 5.
Transfer becomes possible from Tier 3 Expedition Gear to Tier 2 Crafted Gear, and from Tier 2 Expedition Gear to Tier 1 Crafted Gear. The announcement gives Enraged Kromede Necklace → White Dragon Lord Necklace as an example.
If you move between Crafted and Expedition Gear, these changes give you more progression options and raise the upgrade ceiling on the listed crafted items.
Shop and Weekly Season Mission changes
Wind Breeze Merchants and server transfer cleanup
- The notes announce a move for Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) and Soul Crystal (Bound) from Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special to Substance Morph > Special > Wind Breeze Merchants.
- The separate Special – Wind Breeze Merchants tab in Substance Morph will be removed.
- The Odyle Energy (Bound) option limited to 20 per character will be removed.
- New Odyle Energy (Bound) options have weekly limits of four per character and 16 per server.
- Sales of Lower Abyss Rift Stone (7-day) will end.
- Instant Clear Ticket: Nightmare (Bound) will be added, with a weekly limit of 14 per server at 30,000 Kina each.
- Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) will also have a weekly limit of 14 per server at 30,000 Kina each.
- The Server Transfer tab will be removed from the shop.
The announcement lists the Daily Dungeon ticket under both the relocation notice and the shop purchase-limit change. Check the post-update menus for its final placement rather than relying on a single path in the notes.
Weekly Season Mission rewards
- Land Grabs: Abyss Points will be removed from the rewards, and Lower Abyss Rift Stone will be added.
- Watcher Kaira: Lower Abyss Rift Stone will be added as a reward.
The practical change is a revised weekly purchasing routine, plus Lower Abyss Rift Stone rewards from the listed missions as the seven-day shop item’s sale ends. We also have a separate server transfer guide covering that system.
Gathering restrictions, deletion delays, and inactivity limits
- Gathering requires level 45 instead of level 10.
- A daily Gathering limit of 1,000 times per server will be introduced. The announcement lists its reset at 8:00 AM CET and says the limit may change later.
- The character deletion waiting period increases from one day to seven days.
- Inactivity will return you to the lobby after 30 minutes instead of three hours.
- Hidden Cubes will spawn more frequently.
The higher Gathering entry level and daily cap could put pressure on automated resource farming, although the notes do not explicitly describe the Gathering changes as an anti-bot measure. They do explicitly say the longer deletion wait is intended to prevent abuse through repeated character creation and deletion. For normal play, the immediate consequences are a later start to Gathering, a daily ceiling, and a much longer wait before deleting a character.
If you want related coverage, we have a separate article on botting and RMT enforcement.
Abyss access and Artifact Battle adjustments
- Abyss entry limits will increase to let more players enter.
- The Lower Abyss Dimensional Core gains more HP.
- If an Artifact Battle lasts at least 10 minutes, Dissipation of Power will apply and weaken the Dimensional Core.
You should have more room to enter the Abyss, while the Core changes combine higher initial durability with a weakening effect in longer battles. The announcement does not provide the new entry limits, Core HP value, or debuff strength.
Atreia’s Call: 28 days of attendance rewards
Atreia’s Call runs from after maintenance on October 28 until before maintenance on December 2, 2026, using the announcement’s CET dates. You can view the rewards in In-game Menu > Attendance.
Across all 28 days, the reward schedule includes:
- 8,000 Soul Crystals (Bound), distributed on days 6, 13, 20, and 27.
- Eight Odyle Energy (Bound), distributed on days 7, 14, 21, and 28.
- 30 Resurrection Spiritstones (Bound), 20 Artisan’s Roasted Fogus (Bound), and 20 Life Crystals (Bound).
- 40 Battle Enhance Scrolls (Bound) and six Soul Codex: Reset (Bound).
- Two Content Usage Ticket Selection Chests (Bound) and four Unknown Fissure Challenge Tickets (Bound).
This is a login-based supply of consumables and entry-related rewards. The attendance reset line lists 8:00 AM CET but also contains an unclear December 2 date reference, so check the in-game Attendance timer for the exact daily rollover.
Daeva Pass: Prelude to Flight
The new pass appears under In-Game Menu > Subscribe. Its sales period runs from October 28 at 8:00 AM to December 2 at 9:00 AM CET.
- Prelude to Flight (Basic) is free.
- Prelude to Flight (Premium) costs 1,000 Quna and includes 20 Battle Enhance Scrolls (Bound), alongside mission-earned rewards.
- Each option has a limit of once per character.
- Pass EXP is capped at 15,000 per character per week.
How you earn EXP
Defeating 10 monsters gives 60 EXP; successful Gathering or Crafting gives 30; clearing Expedition or Transcendence gives 300. Successful Gear Enhancement and Gear Extraction give 10 each, Gear Soul Binding gives 20, and opening a Hidden Cube gives 50.
The 50-level reward tracks, summarized
The Basic track mainly offers Small Odyle Energy (Bound), plus Unknown Fissure Challenge Tickets, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets, Battle Enhance Scrolls, and Resurrection Spiritstones. The Premium track lists Odyle Energy (Bound) at the corresponding energy levels and higher quantities of the tickets, scrolls, and Resurrection Spiritstones. After level 50, the repeat reward is one Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound) on Basic and one Odyle Energy (Bound) on Premium.
Because EXP comes from several regular activities, you can progress the pass through different parts of the game. The weekly cap is the key limit to keep in mind when planning your progress.
New outfits, weapon skins, pets, and accessories
The listed new promotions run from after maintenance on October 28 until before maintenance on November 11, 2026, in CET. They are available through the relevant Atelier categories in the Shop or via Closet > Shop.

- Vulpine Sunshower (Skin: Set): six armor appearance pieces, $29.99, and 4,350 Mileage.
- No-Nonsense Maid (Skin: Set) (Bound): four armor appearance pieces, $29.99, and 4,350 Mileage.
- Secret Teatime Weapon Skin: a class-specific weapon option for each of the eight classes, $11.99 each, with 1,750 Mileage. Purchase is restricted to the corresponding class.
- Pet: Azure Flame Kumiho and Pet: Glossy Pink Puppy: $19.99 each, with 2,900 Mileage and a purchase limit of once per server for each pet.
- Maid Ribbon Wings: $19.99, with 2,900 Mileage and a purchase limit of once per character.
- Black Crow Mask and Dark Maid Hairband: Helm skins priced at 300 Quna each.
- Decor items: Red Devil Glasses, Silver Line Glasses, Silver Face Chain, plus earrings and necklaces in the Soaring, Rider’s, and Midnight Teatime lines. Each costs 300 Quna and has a purchase limit of once per server.
The dollar prices are the announcement’s Purple Store prices; other stores may differ. If you are planning an appearance change, check the item type and purchase limit before choosing: the armor sets contain different numbers of pieces, and the weapon options are class-restricted.

Bug fixes, item recovery, and EU entry-pass restoration
- Fixes resurrection counts sometimes failing to reset when retrying Expedition Dungeon (Hard).
- Removes Supply Requests that require Sweet Balaur Berry.
- Corrects Ariel and Azphel Daevanion appearing in the wrong positions in the Character Progression summary.
- Fixes some player characters being invisible during PvP.
- Fixes certain Season Missions failing to progress after the required boss is defeated.
- Content entry passes that did not reset correctly in the EU region on October 25 will be granted.
- Attendance rewards claimed more than once through server transfers will be reclaimed.
- The item retrieval and restoration schedule will be announced after the server transfer period ends.
These fixes should make Hard dungeon retries, PvP visibility, and mission completion more reliable. If you were affected by the EU reset issue, the notes confirm replacement entry passes, but they do not provide a precise delivery time.
