As of 20 October 2026, the only new Steam Deck you can buy is the Steam Deck OLED. On the Steam Store (EU, Czech region) the 512 GB model costs €779.00 and the 1 TB model €919.00, both including VAT. Valve sells it directly through Steam. Below you will find what is in the box, why the Deck got more expensive in May, what happened to the Steam Deck LCD, and the state of refurbished units and the official dock.
Steam Deck prices on the Steam Store
Prices from the Steam Store for the Czech region as of 20 October 2026, VAT included:
| Product | Steam Store price | Status on 20 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Deck OLED 512 GB | €779.00 | on sale |
| Steam Deck OLED 1 TB | €919.00 | on sale |
| Docking Station (official dock) | €89.00 | out of stock |
When Valve announced the current pricing, it also listed £649 and £779 for the UK and $789 and $949 for the US (512 GB and 1 TB). Both OLED models can also be ordered without a power supply. The store does not show the price of that option until you select it, so it is not listed here. The store estimates delivery at 6 to 10 business days and notes that the Steam Deck OLED may be temporarily sold out in some regions because of memory and storage shortages. See the store page for the current status.
What is in the box: 512 GB vs 1 TB
Both models share the same hardware. They differ in storage, screen glass and extras:

| Spec | Steam Deck OLED 512 GB | Steam Deck OLED 1 TB |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 7.4″ HDR OLED, 1280×800, up to 90 Hz | 7.4″ HDR OLED, 1280×800, up to 90 Hz |
| Screen glass | no anti-glare treatment | anti-glare etched glass |
| Storage | 512 GB NVMe SSD + microSD slot | 1 TB NVMe SSD + microSD slot |
| Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi 6E | Wi-Fi 6E |
| Battery | 50 Wh, 3 to 12 hours depending on the game | 50 Wh, 3 to 12 hours depending on the game |
| Power supply | 45 W, 2.5 m cable | 45 W, 2.5 m cable |
| Case | carrying case | carrying case with removable liner |
| Extras | Steam profile bundle | Steam profile bundle, exclusive startup movie, virtual keyboard theme |
Valve’s 3 to 12 hour battery estimate assumes 30 FPS with brightness and volume at 50%. Uncapped FPS, higher brightness or louder audio drain the battery faster. Our guide to performance settings shows how to stretch it.
Why the Steam Deck costs more than before
The current prices apply since 27 May 2026. That day the Steam Deck OLED came back in stock and Valve raised its prices, citing rising memory and storage costs. You can read the full Valve announcement on Steam.
Where to buy a Steam Deck
Valve sells the Steam Deck directly through Steam in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European Union. In Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan it is sold through KOMODO.
On warranty: Valve gives a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For consumers in the EU this contractual warranty does not apply; your statutory rights in the country of purchase apply instead.
The same store page also sells other Valve hardware, such as the Steam Controller, Steam Machine and Steam Frame. This guide covers only the Deck.
The Steam Deck LCD is discontinued
You can no longer buy a new LCD model. In December 2025 Valve wrote on the store page that it is no longer producing the Steam Deck LCD 256 GB and that it will not be available once sold out. The 64 GB and 512 GB LCD models had already ended earlier. If you own an LCD, here is how it compares with the OLED:

| Spec | Steam Deck LCD (256 GB) | Steam Deck OLED |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 7″ LCD, 1280×800, up to 60 Hz | 7.4″ HDR OLED, 1280×800, up to 90 Hz, up to 1,000 nits peak |
| APU | 7 nm | 6 nm |
| Battery | 40 Wh, 2 to 8 hours depending on the game | 50 Wh, 3 to 12 hours depending on the game |
| Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi 5 | Wi-Fi 6E |
| Power cable | 1.5 m | 2.5 m |
According to Valve, the OLED also lasts 30 to 50% longer, downloads up to three times faster over Wi-Fi 6E, has a larger fan and runs cooler. It is 30 g lighter (about 5%), charges from 20 to 80% in 45 minutes and uses Torx screws.
Valve certified refurbished units
Valve also sells certified refurbished Decks at up to 20% off, with the same one-year warranty as a new unit. Each one passes more than 100 tests, comes with a factory-reset install and a tested refurbished power supply, and may have minor cosmetic blemishes. Prices on the refurbished page as of 20 October 2026:
| Refurbished model | Price | Status on 20 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Deck OLED 512 GB | €619.00 | out of stock |
| Steam Deck OLED 1 TB | €739.00 | out of stock |
| Steam Deck LCD 64 GB | €299.00 | out of stock |
| Steam Deck LCD 256 GB | €339.00 | out of stock |
| Steam Deck LCD 512 GB | €379.00 | out of stock |
Valve does not say when refurbished units will be back. Note that refurbished Decks sold by GameStop are not Valve refurbishments and carry GameStop’s own warranty.
The official dock
The official Docking Station costs €89.00 on Steam and is out of stock as of 20 October 2026. It works with both OLED and LCD. Its ports, which USB-C hubs work instead and how to connect the Deck to a TV are covered in our dock and microSD guide.
