WARDOGS languages: which languages the game supports

As of 11 September 2026, WARDOGS supports fourteen languages, including English and German. Full voice acting is English only; every other language gets text and subtitles. The list goes beyond the big Western European languages too, with Polish, Turkish and Ukrainian among them. Below you’ll find the exact list of supported languages, what to expect in the future, and a glossary of terms that will help you find your way around the menus.

Which languages WARDOGS supports

Steam lists this set for the game: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Polish, Turkish and Ukrainian. Full audio support, meaning voice acting, is only available in English; the remaining languages got text and subtitles.

Will more languages be added later?

The developers haven’t said anything about it: neither the official early access launch materials nor the description of the plans for the full release mention expanding localization. In its plan for version 1.0, the studio lists deeper progression, seasons, more maps, weapons, vehicles and new objective variants, but languages aren’t among them.

That doesn’t mean the matter is closed. The game is due to stay in early access for roughly one to two years, and online shooters commonly add languages wherever a strong player base emerges. The presence of Polish and Turkish shows the studio localizes beyond the big five European languages. But nothing can be promised until someone at BULKHEAD says so.

Can you play with limited English?

Yes, and more easily than most games in this genre. WARDOGS has no story campaign or long dialogue: you mostly deal with the buy menu, the map and on-screen indicators, which are largely numbers and icons. What you really need to know is a handful of terms that come up again and again.

Control Zone	A 2 × 2 km zone that all three teams fight over. Points go to the team with the most players inside it.
Hot Zone	An area with doubled rewards. You earn twice as much there, but you’ll also find twice as many enemies.
Loadout	The gear you buy for each life: weapons, equipment, gadgets, vehicles.
Cash	Money. You start with 10,000 and it carries over between matches.
Revive	Bringing a teammate back. The game pays you for it, so it’s worth doing even for selfish reasons.
FOB (Forward Operating Base)	A forward base you build on the map to hold an important position.
Ghillie suit	A camouflage suit for long-range play, typically for snipers.
Proximity / local voice chat	Distance-based voice chat: you hear whoever is nearby, enemies included.

Be careful with unofficial translations

If you come across a fan translation to download, be careful. WARDOGS is an online game with anti-cheat protection, and right after launch it had to deal with a wave of false bans. In a game like that, any change to the game files puts your account at risk of a penalty, and in a game that gets fixes practically every other day, there’s also the risk that the translation stops working after the next patch. Before you install anything, check who made it and which game version it’s for.
