Ubisoft has put out a brand-new free interactive experience built around AlUla, the region introduced in the Valley of Memory expansion for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. You can jump into it right now on the web, iOS and Android, and it costs nothing.
The first anniversary of Valley of Memory falls in November 2026, but Ubisoft clearly decided not to wait. The studio officially unveiled the Discovery Tour App: AlUla on September 8, and it puts the spotlight on the real-world Saudi Arabian location the DLC’s explorable area was based on.
Roughly 90 minutes of gamified exploration
The app isn’t just a gallery of photos. Ubisoft describes its exploration mode as a gamified, mission-based journey that takes about 90 minutes to finish, and it’s peppered with minigames inspired directly by Assassin’s Creed: Mirage gameplay.
What you get inside:
- an exploration mode structured around missions, roughly 90 minutes long
- minigames drawing on Mirage’s gameplay
- Eagle Vision, used here to track down hidden collectibles across the AlUla region
- a built-in codex covering AlUla’s heritage, plus a timeline of its most notable historical events
- a Middle Eastern soundtrack meant to echo the mood of the base game
Ubisoft says the experience “explores the past of this unique historical location, blending interactive gameplay and educational content: architecture, natural landmarks, and daily life.”
Roshan is back as your mentor
One of Mirage’s most popular characters returns here. Roshan guides you through the whole interactive tour, handing out tips and instructions the same way she mentored Basim in the main story. If you liked her sections in the campaign, that alone is a decent reason to give the app a look.
How to play it
The web version needs no installation at all – you just open it in a browser and play. If you’d rather have it on your phone, the app is also available for free on iOS and on Android.

AlUla isn’t the only freebie on the table this month.
