Bohemia Interactive is deepening its partnership with the Polish team Enjoy Studio, the developers behind the survival RPG Everwind. The Czech publisher is becoming a co-owner with a minority stake – and it’s the first time Bohemia has invested in the Polish market.
The collaboration between the two companies started back in 2024. This year, Everwind joined the roster of projects backed by Bohemia’s incubator, a program that supports promising developers in the region and previously helped bring out the sci-fi title Silica.
Over 300,000 copies in six months
Everwind has sold more than 300,000 copies in the half year since it entered early access, and it has over a million users with the game on their Steam wishlist. That’s a sizable pool of potential buyers still waiting on the sidelines.
Everwind mixes survival in a large open world with RPG elements and can be played together with a group of friends. Your main tool is an airship you build yourself, which you use to explore the floating islands.
Why Bohemia invested
According to the publisher’s leadership, the deciding factor wasn’t the game itself but the people behind it. “We share a similar view on how to make games and how to talk to players. Everwind showed what this team can do, but this investment isn’t about one game. It’s an expression of trust in the talent of the entire studio and a step toward a closer, long-term partnership. We want to make the best games we can together and get them to as many players as possible,” said Marek Španěl, CEO of Bohemia Interactive.
The publisher explicitly says it doesn’t intend to build the relationship on a single title, even though Enjoy already has a hit on its hands. As part of the same collaboration, the arcade platformer Space Tail: Definitive Edition was released at the beginning of August.
What’s next for Everwind
The team still has plenty of work ahead. Version 1.0 is planned for next year, and console versions are expected to follow once it lands. Right now the focus is on another big update, which includes:
- a new weapon
- a livelier environment
- reworks and improvements to some systems
