Aniimo Update Fixes Blurry Textures, Alpha Catching and Co-op Progression

Polaris Institute is back with another round of cleanup for Aniimo on Steam. There’s no new content this time – the whole update is dedicated to bug fixes plus two small presentation tweaks. Still, a few of the fixes matter a lot in practice: blurry character models, Alphas that refused to be caught, and a co-op join that could straight-up block your progression.

Bug Fixes

The full list of issues that got squashed:

  • Some of Irisalis’s model textures turned blurry after using Transmog to switch to styles from the Starbloom Moonlight or Sunflare Rose sets.
  • Some model textures on Grizbo, Luminelle and Sherro became blurry.
  • Attempts to catch Alphas sometimes failed with the message “Cannot catch the Alpha in the current state.”
  • Joining a friend’s party via Come to My World early in the game could block progression.
  • The shortcuts for viewing and gifting Aniimo conflicted with each other.
  • Incorrect text was displayed when Sparkling Pigment could not be used.
  • The button combination for exiting flight did not work.
  • Sparkling Aniimo could not be selected with a controller in Aniimo Management.
  • Certain button inputs conflicted in Companion Mode.
  • Opening the Album on PlayStation caused stuttering.
  • The Safe and Sound and Friends in Focus achievements could not be unlocked.
  • A rare teleportation issue caused scenes to load incorrectly.
  • The bridge in the construction area disappeared when visiting another Pathfinder’s Home.
  • A rare issue where the Umbral Stellarys Alpha’s immunity to control effects did not work correctly in Operation: Egg Heist.

If you still hit the teleport bug

For the scene-loading issue, the devs added a manual way out: head to the Outpost and use the green interaction point to reload the correct scene. Worth remembering if a teleport ever drops you into a world that looks wrong.

Optimizations & Adjustments

  • Updated the item acquisition notification icon for Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis.
  • Updated the showcase video and image for Legendary Aniipod: Departure with the Wind so they match its actual in-game effects.

What it means for you

If you play with friends, the Come to My World fix is the headline here – jumping into someone else’s world early on no longer risks stalling your own story, and we’ve covered the multiplayer basics in our guide to Aniimo co-op. PvPvE players get a cleaner Alpha fight, and the mode itself is broken down in our Egg Heist explainer. Controller users benefit the most from the input fixes, since flight exit, gifting shortcuts and Companion Mode all stopped fighting each other.

Where to go next

Irisalis and the rest of the content she arrived with are covered in our recap of the Windchaser’s Departure update, and every previous round of changes is archived in the Aniimo patch notes overview.

FAQ

Does this update add any new content?

No. This is a pure maintenance update – fourteen bug fixes and two adjustments to item presentation. No new Aniimo, modes or regions are mentioned.

Why couldn’t I catch Alphas before?

A bug made catch attempts fail with the message “Cannot catch the Alpha in the current state.” That issue has now been fixed.

My teleport loaded the wrong scene. What do I do?

Go to the Outpost and use the green interaction point there to reload the correct scene. The underlying rare bug has been fixed as well.

Were the locked achievements fixed?

Yes. Safe and Sound and Friends in Focus could not be unlocked before and now work as intended.

Does anything change for controller and PlayStation players?

Quite a bit. Exiting flight via button combination works again, Sparkling Aniimo can be selected with a controller in Aniimo Management, conflicting inputs in Companion Mode were resolved, and opening the Album on PlayStation no longer stutters.
