If you have been waiting years for anything new with the Bloodborne name attached to it, here is at least a small consolation prize. Good Smile Company has officially opened pre-orders for a re-release of its Hunter Figma, which depicts the game’s protagonist in the look known from the The Old Hunters DLC.
What you get in the box
The Figma is built around poseable joints, so you can set the Hunter into a wide range of stances instead of one fixed pose. The package also includes an articulated stand, which opens up more dynamic display options, including poses where the figure is not simply standing on its feet.
The biggest draw is the weapon selection. Good Smile Company has included six interchangeable pieces from the base game and the DLC:
- Saw Cleaver
- Hunter Pistol
- Hunter Blunderbuss
- Hunter Axe
- Whirligig Saw
- Ludwig’s Holy Blade
Each weapon is designed to work with the figure in different positions, and the Saw Cleaver can be switched into its extended form, exactly as you would expect from a trick weapon.
Price, release date and pre-order limits
The Hunter Figma is priced at ¥12,800 and shipping is expected in May 2027, so this is a long-term purchase rather than something that lands on your shelf this season. Pre-orders through Good Smile Company are limited to three units per person; the collectible is listed on the official product page.
Why Bloodborne merch still matters
Bloodborne has built up an almost mythical reputation over the years. Sony published it, it launched on PlayStation 4 and it was never ported anywhere else. It also skipped the remaster wave entirely, which means the original PS4 version listed on the PlayStation Store is still the only official way to play it.
That is not down to a lack of interest. Fans have been asking for Bloodborne on other platforms for years without success, and in the meantime serious progress has been made on getting the game running on PC through community efforts, precisely because no official port materialized from Sony or FromSoftware.
Merchandise is the one area where Bloodborne has never gone quiet. Plenty of products have been released over the years and more are lined up beyond this 2027 figure. That does not confirm anything about a new game, and realistically the odds of one get slimmer each year, but it does show the brand has not been shelved completely.
