Death Stranding 2: On the Beach still puts you in the boots of Sam Porter Bridges, this time on his trek across Australia, but the sequel also introduced a handful of brand new faces. One of them, Tomorrow, is now getting her own high-end collectible: Hot Toys is expanding its Death Stranding 2 lineup with a 1/6-scale Tomorrow Collectible Figure (Artisan Edition), standing roughly 29 centimeters tall.
Hideo Kojima himself shared images of the figure, so you can get a look at it before any official store listing goes live.
What the Tomorrow figure actually includes
The centerpiece is a newly crafted head sculpt based on Elle Fanning’s likeness, with separate rolling eyeballs and detailed facial features. Her long, wavy blonde hair is individually implanted using wool material. Underneath sits a newly developed silicone body with an internal metal skeleton and 28 points of articulation, which gives the figure a seamless look without visible joints.
The outfit recreates her appearance in Death Stranding 2:
- the shiny white gathered-neck dress with a waist belt
- arm wrap and forearm ribbons
- shorts and white sneakers
- eight interchangeable hands, some designed to hold the included tar spear
There are a couple of nice touches on top of that. The sneakers carry a charm associated with Rainy, another new Death Stranding 2 character, and you can also display Tomorrow barefoot. The tar spear is based on concept art from the game and has a glossy finish inspired by the tar depths. Hot Toys also packs in a tar-themed diorama base with interchangeable splash effects, so you can build different display setups.
Price, run size and release window
The Artisan Edition is limited to 3,000 units in selected markets and is scheduled to arrive sometime between Q3 and Q4 of 2027. Hot Toys hasn’t revealed a price yet. Given the silicone body, the implanted hair and the limited run, you should budget accordingly rather than expect a standard-priced figure.
For you as a fan, that means two things: it’s a long wait, and the small production run makes a pre-order window worth watching if you want one at retail rather than on the aftermarket.
The backdrop: Kojima Productions, PlayStation and Xbox
The announcement lands right after a shake-up around the franchise in the real world. The original Death Stranding came out of a partnership between Kojima Productions and PlayStation, which published it as a timed console exclusive. That partnership has ended. Kojima Productions recently revealed that PlayStation canceled its support for Physint, Kojima’s upcoming game, and the studio found a new partner in Xbox instead. Xbox effectively saved Physint, giving the spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid a new home while Kojima Productions keeps working on all of its projects.
