Shift Up boss Kim Hyung-tae hinted at interest in working with PlatinumGames on a new Bayonetta game – in a Famitsu interview he discussed the Bayonetta crossover with PlatinumGames head Atsushi Inaba, executive producer on every entry in the series. Kim said he would like to design characters for a new Bayonetta title; Inaba did not publicly respond to the offer and only stated that he would be interested in future collaboration with Shift Up. Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya left PlatinumGames in 2023. You will also find coverage of the Stellar Blade crossover: the game launched on PlayStation 5 in 2024, the PC version followed in 2025 and the Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives on 5 November, when Stellar Blade receives Bayonetta-inspired DLC, also available on PS5 and PC. The DLC includes four outfits – Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun and the original Black Tresses design by Kim Hyung-tae – created by Shift Up together with PlatinumGames. Bayonetta also appears as a playable character in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and Bayonetta content arrived in The First Descendant in 2025.
