The demo launches on October 1 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Steam, with the full game following two weeks later on October 15. Demo saves carry over into the full release as long as you play on the same platform and account. The protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, who carries Dracula’s curse in her right arm; the story takes place in Paris in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse. The game is developed by Konami together with Evil Empire, the studio behind The Rogue Prince of Persia, with Motion Twin acting in an advisory role. New features include faster whip-based movement, more weapon categories, Relics and the Arcana system. The demo requires at least 6GB on PS5, 5GB on Xbox Series X/S, 4GB on Steam and 3GB on Switch, while the full game needs 8 to 10GB depending on platform; PS5, Xbox and Steam target 60 FPS, Switch 30 FPS. The title is part of the series’ 40th anniversary and features Dracula, Death, Medusa, Carmilla and Isaac, with Joan of Arc and The Fallen among the new enemies.
