This section covers the official Dead by Daylight collaboration with NieR: Automata. 2B, A2 and Emil have arrived as cosmetic add-ons – 2B and A2 are Legendary Outfits for Feng Min and Yui Kimura, while Legion received a Very Rare Outfit inspired by Emil. It is a cosmetic collection only, not a new chapter: 2B and A2 are not standalone survivors with unique traits and Emil does not become a standalone killer. Creative director Dave Richard described both games as stories about ‘cycles of violence and suffering’. You will also find context – Dead by Daylight is more than ten years old, NieR: Automata launched in 2017, and Behaviour Interactive has previously worked with franchises such as Resident Evil, Alien and Stranger Things.
