This Fae & Fauna section collects news about the new open-world cozy RPG with creature-collecting elements from the small Swedish team Aurora Arts. You’ll find information about the Steam early access release planned for the first quarter of 2027, about collecting and studying magical creatures called Faeons, fighting hostile creatures known as Knytt with various melee weapons, and creating your own pets through magic and chemistry. Coverage also includes the freely explorable magical island of Saltwick, its NPCs including merchants and vendors in the vein of Stardew Valley, owning and furnishing a house, customising your character’s appearance, and romance options with NPCs. You can also follow updates on version 1.0, which will add new biomes, an expanded story and deeper Faeon bonding systems, plus Aurora Arts’ plans to bring the game to further platforms, possibly consoles, after early access ends.
