This section collects the news around Mechabellum, a strategy game with 84% positive reviews on Steam. It first launched in May 2023 through Steam’s early access program, version 1.0 arrived in September 2024, and the Mechabellum 2.0 update released on September 21 with the new Star Expedition mode – a co-op roguelike in which players fight CPU enemies across nine planets. Since September 22, a new free edition is available on Steam, containing most of the paid content including online battles and the new co-op mode, though it limits progression speed, Star Expedition storage capacity and the rate of unlocking Tech Points. The game, previously priced at roughly 15 dollars, supports 1v1 and 2v2 matches as well as a four-player mode. From September 24 to October 1, the full version is also free to keep permanently on the Epic Games Store.
