This section collects news about Sega Rally 2, the Dreamcast port of the Sega Model 3 racer released in 1999 with one of the console’s first online multiplayer features. The online mode was removed from the global version and stayed exclusive to Japan, but for the game’s 27th anniversary in 2026 it was restored and is no longer region locked. Multiplayer was reactivated through DreamPi, software that connects a Dreamcast to the internet and lets you race with up to three friends. You will find the requirements here: DreamPi 2.1, a unique Login ID and a Japanese copy of the game, as only that version contains the multiplayer codes, with menus and icons left untranslated. We also cover private lobbies, chatting with friends before matches, racing on every available track, the split-screen mode and the offline league mode with unlockable rewards, plus indie developers making new Dreamcast games such as Noah and the Poohloudies.
