Rockstar Reveals GTA 6's First Radio Stations – Flash FM Is Back After 24 Years

Rockstar Reveals Six GTA 6 Radio Stations – and Flash FM Is Back

Updated 13 October 2026, 12:00

Rockstar Games has finally opened up one of the parts of GTA 6 players argue about the most: the radio. In a new blog post the studio introduced six of Leonida’s stations, named their hosts and dropped a handful of tracks you’ll hear while driving. Rockstar describes it as the “biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet” in the series, stretching from classic rock and pop all the way to talk radio.

For most of you the dial isn’t a side feature. Cruising around and flipping between stations has set the mood of every Grand Theft Auto for decades, and licensed songs, DJs, fake ads and talk shows are a huge part of why each map feels like a real place rather than a backdrop.

The six confirmed stations

  • Cocoteo FM – modern Latin music hosted by Bad Bunny and RaiNao, who appear in-game as El Martillo and La Gata.
  • Back Country Radio – country, hosted by Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey under the aliases MW and Delta Dawne.
  • AfroBank FM – African classics, amapiano and 3-step with Burna Boy and Palms Trax.
  • The Chamber 106.6 – heavy metal hosted by Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya.
  • Flash FM – the returning Vice City pop station, this time with Robyn and Alex Consani.
  • Dirty South Classics – regional rap and hip-hop hosted by Trick Daddy and Trina.

The return of Flash FM is the headline for anyone who played the original Vice City. It’s one of the most recognizable things about that game and it comes back 24 years later. Rockstar also leaned hard into celebrity hosts, and with Florida natives Trick Daddy and Trina on board, Leonida gets a local accent on the airwaves.

What’s actually playing

The track previews are as scattered as the station list. Rockstar name-dropped MGMT’s “Electric Feel”, Slayer’s “Raining Blood”, Loretta Lynn’s “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin'”, Charli XCX’s “Good Ones”, Pantera’s “I’m Broken” and Asake’s “Joha”. Some previews are already playable on Rockstar’s official site.

Keep in mind this is a sliver of the full lineup. Only a fraction of the songs and stations has been shown, so plenty will stay hidden until launch day.

Music outside the car – finally

GTA 6 also delivers a change fans have been asking for across several games. For the first time in the series, Jason and Lucia can keep listening after they step out of a vehicle, using headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones. Rockstar is adding on-demand podcasts on top of that, playable both behind the wheel and while you’re exploring Leonida on foot. The podcast names haven’t been announced yet, but Rockstar specifically highlighted their role during exploration.

Phones keep showing up as a central system in this game, and the protagonists themselves have been getting the same treatment – Rockstar explained its approach to Jason Duval in a separate interview.

Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album

Alongside the in-game radio, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album, a separate 34-track collection of original music. Credited artists include Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Future, Metro Boomin’, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Keith Richards, PinkPantheress and Fred Again.

Thursdays are the new drip-feed

The radio reveal didn’t come out of nowhere. Rockstar has been publishing new GTA 6 details every Thursday since August 27, and the station and host rundown landed on October 8. So far the studio has walked through Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, Leonida’s wildlife and the world itself, and the next date on everyone’s calendar is October 15, when another big announcement is expected.

The assumption among fans is that the weekly rhythm holds all the way to release – and conveniently, GTA 6 launches on a Thursday too. Part of the community is also hoping one of those slots gets used for a third trailer that finally ties the open world to the story.

Where to go next

GTA 6 launches on November 19 and Rockstar still has a lot of music left to reveal. If you want the rest of the picture, we’ve covered the game’s rebuilt weather system and what the PEGI rating spells out about the content. Everything else we’ve published sits in our GTA news hub.
