On 10 September 2026, WARDOGS received a small client update meant to help with problems players have had since launch. The hotfix targets server connection issues, unexpected disconnects during play and long login queues. Rolling it out, however, means a mandatory restart and every player going back into the queue.
What you need to do for the update
- If you are playing right now, you will have to close WARDOGS and launch it again. This step is mandatory for all players who are currently logged in.
- You will then be prompted to download the latest client update.
- Once you install it and restart the game, you will return to the login queue, just like everyone else.
Players will be admitted in groups
The developers will let players into the game in controlled groups. Once they confirm that players are connecting successfully and filling the servers, they will gradually increase the number of players let in.
For you, this means that downloading the hotfix alone does not guarantee instant access to a server. The queue is part of the announced process, and it applies to players who were logged in before the update as well.
What problems the hotfix targets
- Being unable to connect to servers.
- Unexpectedly getting kicked from servers during play.
- Waiting far too long in the login queue.
The announcement describes these points as problems the hotfix is meant to address, not as bugs confirmed to be fixed. The team will actively monitor the situation after the rollout and, according to the announcement, will keep working on fixes overnight. It also apologizes for the inconvenience.
