Bandai Namco has laid out what comes next for Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO, and the headline is cooperation. The publisher confirmed on the official Dragon Ball website that a mode called Tower of Power (Team-up) is planned for Spring 2027, and it will let up to five players climb the same challenge together, each controlling one character.
That is a notable shift for a game built mostly around one-on-one duels. Instead of the usual format, you and four friends can bring five different fighters into a single run, which opens up team compositions the game simply has not allowed so far.
Tower of Power (Solo) comes first, in Winter 2026
Before the co-op version lands, Sparking ZERO gets Tower of Power (Solo) in Winter 2026. It is a single-player climb through floors packed with progressively stronger opponents, and the rewards are customization items. In practice it works as the testing ground for the team mode – by the time it is out, you should know a lot more about how the five-player variant will play.
The team-up mode draws inspiration from the battles at Fortune Teller Baba’s Palace. For now, the five-player cap is the biggest concrete detail Bandai Namco has shared. There is no exact release date, and the publisher has not explained how progression or matchmaking will work, so treat those as open questions.
Mission 100 and Survival Mode get SP upgrades
The roadmap also covers existing content. Mission 100 and Survival Mode are set to be upgraded into Mission 100 SP and Survival Mode SP, arriving after the Limit Breaker Journey mode introduced in the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC.
What it means for you
The important part for your wallet: Bandai Namco confirmed that these upcoming free updates will be available even if you do not own the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC. In other words, the roadmap content is not locked behind paid add-ons, and the base game keeps growing for everyone.
Elsewhere in the franchise, the publisher is also revisiting modern Dragon Ball history with Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, an enhanced remake of the original Dragon Ball Super anime. It adds newly drawn and redrawn scenes, completely re-rendered footage, updated sound effects and music, and a restructured story meant to follow Akira Toriyama’s original vision more closely.
