How long is Mafia: The Old Country?
2K has not published an official figure, only saying that the game does not demand a massive time commitment. Reviewers land at roughly 13 hours for the main story: PCGamesN clocked 13.5 hours (depending on difficulty and how much you collect), and PC Gamer calls it a 13-hour game. It is a linear story game, not an open world. Once you finish, you can head back into Free Ride mode, which our beginner’s guide explains.
Offline play, 2K account and microtransactions
- Single-player only. There is no online or multiplayer mode, and 2K does not plan one.
- Offline: on consoles you can play fully offline. On PC you need an internet connection for the first launch, then mostly not. The exceptions are a major hardware change and the first launch after an update.
- No microtransactions. The in-game currency, Dinari, is earned only by playing and cannot be bought with real money.
- 2K account rewards: signing in with a 2K account unlocks the Garzia Tumulto race car, and signing up for the newsletter gives you the Lupara Tradituri shotgun and the Racketeer suit. If your 2K account is linked to the Definitive Editions of the older games, you also get loyalty rewards in The Old Country.
