Coming up: European Casino and reworked maps

According to EA’s plan for Season 5 (Siege of Vegas), two more updates will affect the map list:

  • Casino Heist update, 10 November 2026 – the season’s third map, European Casino, an infantry map. It will be Battlefield 6’s 20th map.
  • Frozen Aces update, 8 December 2026 – reworked versions of Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City return.

These dates are EA’s plan as of 19 October 2026. Everything else in the season is covered in our current season guide.

The full Season 5 plan is in EA’s roadmap.

Infantry-only maps

If you’d rather skip tanks and helicopters, look for Empire State (Brooklyn) and Saints Quarter (Gibraltar), both launch maps. According to EA, European Casino will be an infantry map too. Hagental Base from Season 2 also offers underground close-quarters fighting. On vehicle maps, on the other hand, it pays to have an Engineer in your squad; more on that in our Battlefield 6 classes guide.

REDSEC maps

The free-to-play battle royale Battlefield REDSEC is played on its own map, Fort Lyndon, which EA calls the biggest map in Battlefield history. The new Rapid Royale mode from Season 5 also runs on Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley, two maps you know from multiplayer.

Modes you play the maps in

All multiplayer maps rotate through the modes EA lists officially:

  • Conquest and Breakthrough – large battles over flags and sectors.
  • Escalation and Rush.
  • Domination and King of the Hill.
  • Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.
  • Portal – a sandbox for custom modes.

EA has descriptions and images of every map on its maps page. News about new content is in our Battlefield news section.
