As of 19 October 2026, Battlefield 6 has 19 multiplayer maps, and the 20th, European Casino, is due on 10 November 2026 according to EA’s plan. This guide lists every map from the game’s launch on 10 October 2025 up to Vegas Strip and Area 51 in Season 5, with the date each one was added, plus which maps are infantry-only, which ones return from earlier games and where the REDSEC battle royale is played.
Launch maps (10 October 2025)
Battlefield 6 launched with nine maps and eight modes. At launch, EA described them as five battlefields with 25 Combat Zones in total.
| Map | Note |
|---|---|
| Siege of Cairo | launch map |
| Iberian Offensive | launch map |
| Liberation Peak | launch map |
| Empire State | Brooklyn, infantry-only |
| Operation Firestorm | returning map from Battlefield 3 |
| Saints Quarter | Gibraltar, infantry-only |
| New Sobek City | launch map, due to return reworked on 8 December 2026 |
| Mirak Valley | largest map at launch |
| Manhattan Bridge | launch map |
Maps added in each season
Since launch, EA has added two maps per season. Some are brand new, others are remakes of maps from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4.

| Map | Season | Added | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blackwell Fields | Season 1 | 28 Oct 2025 | Southern California |
| Eastwood | Season 1 | 18 Nov 2025 | California Resistance update |
| Contaminated | Season 2 | 17 Feb 2026 | German air base, VL-7 psychoactive smoke |
| Hagental Base | Season 2 | 13 Mar 2026 | underground close-quarters combat |
| Railway to Golmud | Season 3 | 12 May 2026 | Battlefield 4 remake, largest map in BF6 |
| Cairo Bazaar | Season 3 | 9 Jun 2026 | remake of Grand Bazaar from Battlefield 3 |
| Tsuru Reef | Season 4 | 21 Jul 2026 | archipelago, return of naval combat |
| Wake Island | Season 4 | August 2026 | Top Gun update, aircraft carrier |
| Vegas Strip | Season 5 | 13 Oct 2026 | start of Siege of Vegas |
| Area 51 | Season 5 | 13 Oct 2026 | start of Siege of Vegas |
That means Mirak Valley is no longer the biggest map: since Season 3, that title belongs to Railway to Golmud. Tsuru Reef and Wake Island brought naval combat back to the series.
Coming up: European Casino and reworked maps
According to EA’s plan for Season 5 (Siege of Vegas), two more updates will affect the map list:
- Casino Heist update, 10 November 2026 – the season’s third map, European Casino, an infantry map. It will be Battlefield 6’s 20th map.
- Frozen Aces update, 8 December 2026 – reworked versions of Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City return.
These dates are EA’s plan as of 19 October 2026. Everything else in the season is covered in our current season guide.
The full Season 5 plan is in EA’s roadmap.
Infantry-only maps
If you’d rather skip tanks and helicopters, look for Empire State (Brooklyn) and Saints Quarter (Gibraltar), both launch maps. According to EA, European Casino will be an infantry map too. Hagental Base from Season 2 also offers underground close-quarters fighting. On vehicle maps, on the other hand, it pays to have an Engineer in your squad; more on that in our Battlefield 6 classes guide.
REDSEC maps
The free-to-play battle royale Battlefield REDSEC is played on its own map, Fort Lyndon, which EA calls the biggest map in Battlefield history. The new Rapid Royale mode from Season 5 also runs on Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley, two maps you know from multiplayer.

Modes you play the maps in
All multiplayer maps rotate through the modes EA lists officially:
- Conquest and Breakthrough – large battles over flags and sectors.
- Escalation and Rush.
- Domination and King of the Hill.
- Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.
- Portal – a sandbox for custom modes.
EA has descriptions and images of every map on its maps page. News about new content is in our Battlefield news section.
