Apex Coins: prices, where to buy them and what they unlock

Apex Coins (AC for short) are the premium currency in Apex Legends, and you buy them with real money. According to EA, the only way to get them for free is as Battle Pass rewards, and they can’t be gifted. This guide lists the bundle prices on EA’s official web store as of 20 October 2026, explains the web bonus, covers what the Battle Pass costs and what you can actually spend Apex Coins on.

Apex Coins prices as of 20 October 2026

On EA’s official web store (store.ea.com), prices are in euros. We checked them with the region set to the Czech Republic. Larger bundles include a web bonus, meaning extra coins compared with buying in-game:

Bundle (EA web store)Price
500 AC€4.99
1,000 AC€9.99
2,150 AC (+100 web bonus)€19.99
4,350 AC (+250 web bonus)€39.99
6,700 AC (+500 web bonus)€59.99
11,500 AC (+1,000 web bonus)€99.99

Console prices depend on the store in your country, so check PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store for your region. Prices change over time, which is why we always give the date. We don’t list prices for Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Nintendo eShop because we couldn’t verify an official price list there.

Where and how to buy Apex Coins

The simplest way is to buy them in the game:

  1. Open the Store from the main menu.
  2. Go to the Apex Coins tab.
  3. Pick a bundle and confirm with Pay Now.

The other option is EA’s official web store, where the larger bundles come with the web bonus. Coins bought on EA’s web store work on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, but not on Nintendo Switch. EA’s help page also mentions buying from trusted retailers. Sites promising free Apex Coins codes or coin generators aren’t among them: according to EA, free coins only come from the Battle Pass.

Battle Pass: coins or real money

The Battle Pass has two tracks, Free and Paid, each with 60 levels. There are four tiers: Free, Premium, Ultimate and Ultimate+. Every season has two Battle Passes, one per split.

  • Premium costs 950 Apex Coins.
  • Ultimate and Ultimate+ are bought with real money. For Split 2 of the Marked season, they cost €9.99 and €19.99 on EA’s web store.
  • If you upgrade from Premium to Ultimate or Ultimate+, you get your 950 AC back.
  • Unlike coins, the Battle Pass can be gifted.

The paid track includes, among other things, 1,300 Apex Coins (200 of them on the Free track) and 1,200 Crafting Metals. Ultimate+ adds 10 instant levels, every legend playable for the duration of the split and more rewards. What the season brought and when it ends is in our current season guide.

What to spend Apex Coins on

  • Legends: a legend costs 750 AC or 12,000 Legend Tokens. You can also unlock one through the Legend Spotlight Pass, which is bought with AC. Which legends suit beginners is covered in our overview of legends and classes.
  • Apex Packs: one costs 100 AC. You also get packs for free as you level up your account: every level from 2 to 20, every second level from 22 to 300 and every fifth level from 305 to 500.
  • Battle Pass Premium for 950 AC.

Heirloom Shards drop from Apex Packs with a probability below 1%. EA guarantees them within 500 packs, subject to conditions.

The other in-game currencies

Apex Legends has five currencies in total: Apex Coins, Crafting Metals, Legend Tokens, Heirloom Shards and Exotic Shards.

  • Legend Tokens are earned only by playing and can’t be bought. From level 4 you get 600 per level. You spend them on legends, recolours of legendary skins and rerolling daily challenges.
  • Crafting Metals are used to craft items: Common costs 30, Rare 60, Epic 400 and Legendary 1,200. Mythic and Iconic items can’t be crafted.

What doesn’t reset at the end of a season

Apex Coins, Exotic Shards, Heirloom Shards, Legend Tokens and Crafting Metals don’t reset at the end of a season. So there’s no rush to spend your coins before the season ends, they’ll still be there. Only Battle Pass levels and Ranked ranks reset. Which devices Apex runs on is covered in our guide to requirements and platforms.
