The most common errors in Rainbow Six Siege X (R6 Siege) are related to your connection and the anti-cheat. Code 0-0x00001001 means you lost the connection to BattlEye, 2-0x00019008 means you were kicked for inactivity and 01102 means Secure Boot is not set up correctly for Legend Division. Here you will find what each code means and what to do about it, based solely on the official Ubisoft Help as of 20 October 2026. It covers PC, and for consoles we explain MouseTrap.
Error codes and what to do
Ubisoft gives a specific fix for these codes:

BattlEye: how it works
BattlEye is the anti-cheat used by Siege. It installs automatically with the game and is only active while you play. Without it, the game will not start. If BattlEye detects a breach of the Code of Conduct, the game shows an error and the account may be sanctioned. Ubisoft explains the details in its article on BattlEye.

BattlEye is also why Siege does not run on the Steam Deck: Steam lists it as unsupported because of the anti-cheat configuration. More in our guide to system requirements.
Ubisoft Anti-Cheat: step-by-step repair
Ubisoft has a general procedure for repairing Ubisoft Anti-Cheat in its games:
- Verify the game files in the launcher you play on (Steam, Ubisoft Connect or Epic).
- Open the game folder. The default Ubisoft Connect path is
C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launchergames. - In the
Sentinelfolder, runUbisoftAntiCheatInstaller.exeas administrator. - Choose Repair, or Install.
- Add the executable to the exclusions in Windows Security.
The message “Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed”
Ubisoft has a general article on the message “Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed”, which can appear for example after uninstalling the Public Test Server (PTS). If the game shows it to you, open the game folder, go to the EasyAntiCheat folder and run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe.
Error 01102 and Secure Boot for Legend Division
On PC, the top playlist, Legend Division, is guarded by the R6 ShieldGuard Secure Platform. It requires TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and Memory Integrity (HVCI), enabled in that order. These requirements do not apply to regular play or standard ranked, as we explain in our ranked requirements guide.
Error 01102 means Secure Boot is not enabled correctly. Ubisoft recommends:
- Reset the Secure Boot keys to their defaults in your motherboard settings.
- Enable Secure Boot in Standard Mode.
- On MSI boards, use Custom Mode with the Maximum Security preset if needed.
- If that does not help, contact Windows support or your motherboard manufacturer.
You can check the requirements in the game under Play → Security Requirements and in Windows Security under Device security. Ubisoft has the full procedure in its article on error 01102.
MouseTrap on consoles
PlayStation and Xbox use MouseTrap. It detects devices that pretend to be a controller while you play with mouse and keyboard. After warnings comes a one-year ban that, according to Ubisoft, cannot be lifted.
R6 ShieldGuard and account sharing
R6 ShieldGuard is the anti-cheat system and team behind Siege, strengthened by Ubisoft in Year 11. Protection through Secure Boot started in Legend Division first. Selling or sharing accounts breaks the Ubisoft terms, so do not lend your account to anyone.
