This week’s update for the global version of AION 2 on Steam is a big one. It brings the new endgame raid Abyssal Forge: Ludra with two difficulties, a brand-new PvP zone where everyone fights with the same stats, two new bracelets, a reworked Artifact Siege schedule and a noticeable buff to Exploration dungeon rewards. Below you’ll find everything the official notes list, plus a short “what this means for you” on the changes that actually affect how you play. Note that this covers the global servers (Europe and the Americas), which currently run eight classes.
Sanctuary: Abyssal Forge: Ludra
The new content Abyssal Forge: Ludra is being added to Sanctuary. It comes in Normal and Hard difficulty, and each run has a 1-hour time limit. On the 6 November dev stream, the developers announced the limit will be extended to 2 hours, with no date yet (more on the longer Ludra time limit).

- Abyssal Forge: Ludra (Hard) is built for top-tier players – it demands advanced character progression, knowledge of the dungeon mechanics and strong cooperation inside your Force.
- You can keep progressing and earning rewards even without clearing Hard, because Normal drops the same types of item rewards.
- The difference is in the drop rates, which vary by difficulty.
Minimum entry item level:
- Normal: 2,800
- Hard: 3,000
The entry item level is only a requirement to get in – it does not guarantee a clear. You’ll still need enough character progression, combat proficiency and teamwork within your Force.
New rewards from Sanctuary – Abyssal Forge: Ludra:
- Ludra’s Weapon, Guard (Bound)
- Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound)
- Abyssal Bracelet (Bound)
- Sealed Abyssal Waves Wings
- Artwork: Abyssal Ludra
You can also use Substance Morph on a Gear Change Voucher to get an Abyssal Forge: Weapon Selection Chest (Bound). Top-ranking Forces that clear Abyssal Forge: Ludra (Hard) get inducted into the Hall of Fame based on their regional rankings. If the same character shows up multiple times, duplicate entries may be removed, and records of characters found to have engaged in prohibited activities may be removed as well.
What this means for you: if your item level is between 2,800 and 3,000, you’re not locked out of the new gear – Normal gives you the same reward types, just at worse odds. Hard is where the Hall of Fame and the fastest progression live. We also covered the Ludra rework in a separate article.
Bracelets
Two new bracelets are joining the game:
- Abyssal Bracelet (Bound) – can be Amplified up to Level 3.
- Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound) – can be Amplified up to Level 5.
The Abyssal Bracelet (Bound) has a chance to drop from both Normal and Hard difficulty of Abyssal Forge. On top of that, both difficulties let you pick a Gear Change Voucher (Bound) as a guaranteed reward:
- Abyssal Forge (Normal) → Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Bound)
- Abyssal Forge (Hard) → Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Hard) (Bound)
Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound) is obtainable through Substance Morph using those vouchers:
- Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Bound) x6 → Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound)
- Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Hard) (Bound) x3 → Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound)
- Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Bound) x2 → Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Hard) (Bound) x1
What this means for you: even unlucky drops aren’t a dead end. Every clear hands you a guaranteed voucher, and vouchers convert into the bracelet – Hard just gets you there in fewer runs, since 3 Hard vouchers equal 6 Normal ones.
Abyss: Chaotic Outer Reshanta
A new zone called Chaotic Outer Reshanta is being added to reduce the gap in Abyss Point gains caused by character progression and to create a more balanced PvP environment.
- All characters get standardized stats, so you can fight on equal footing regardless of how far along your character is.
- Entry opens at Lv. 45, with 3 hours of base playtime per week.
- You can extend your playtime with Outer Entry Stones.
- Stats, skill levels and Stigma levels are all standardized to the same values. Only stat bonuses and specialization effects from class-specific skills and Stigmas still apply.
- Some Season Missions can also be completed in Chaotic Outer Reshanta.
Rewards available in Outer Reshanta: Kina (Bound), Abyss Point, Common / Rare / Epic Gear, Outer Abyss Rift Stone (Bound) and various other crafting materials (Bound).
Abyss Points earned through PvP in Outer Reshanta will be reduced by 50%.
What this means for you: gear can no longer carry you in Chaotic Outer Reshanta – your class knowledge and Stigma build decide fights. Plan your three weekly hours, and if you want more, you’ll need Outer Entry Stones.
Artifact Siege and Artifact Bosses
- The Artifact Siege schedule drops from three times a week to twice a week (Thursdays and Saturdays), still at 21:00.
- To make sure you don’t lose rewards because of the lower frequency, Abyss Points per run in the Abyss Corridor are increased by 50%.
- The three Artifact Bosses – Executor Kaira, Executor Argo and Executor Tamasa – move to the same twice-a-week schedule (Thursdays and Saturdays) at 21:30.
What this means for you: your Abyss calendar shrinks to two fixed evenings, so missing one costs more than it used to. The buffed Abyss Corridor is the compensation, so it’s worth building it into your routine.
Field Bosses
- Elyos: Eternal Gartua / High Commander Lagta – respawn time 12 hours → 11 hours.
- Asmodian: Immortal Gartua / High Commander Lagta – respawn time 12 hours → 11 hours.
- Abyss Field Boss Argo, the Spirit King now spawns twice daily at 10:30 and 22:30.
What this means for you: the 11-hour timer shifts Gartua and Lagta a bit earlier each day instead of locking them to the same hour, while Argo gets two fixed, predictable windows you can actually plan around.
Expedition (Exploration) rewards
Rewards from selected Expedition (Exploration) dungeons are going up so you can keep developing your character even when a party is hard to find. This applies to:
- Draupnir (Exploration)
- Vakron Sky Island (Exploration)
- Ferocious Horn Den (Exploration)
Available rewards are raised to match Normal difficulty:
- More Kina (Bound).
- More Enhance Stones, Kina (Bound), Silentium (Bound) and Soul Codex (Bound).
- Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound) is added to the reward pool.
- Refining Stones and crafting materials drop in the same quantities as on Normal – but as Bound items that cannot be traded.
The number of runs required for guaranteed rewards and the number of available runs are adjusted to match Conquest difficulty. Kina reward thresholds based on your cumulative number of Expedition (Exploration) runs now look like this:
- 0–40 runs: 100% Kina
- 41–50 runs: 80% Kina
- 51–60 runs: 60% Kina
- 61–70 runs: 40% Kina
- 71+ runs: 20% Kina
What this means for you: solo-friendly Exploration runs are finally worth it in terms of materials. Just keep the Kina curve in mind – the first 40 runs pay out fully, after that the Kina return drops off step by step.
UI improvements
- A [Standard Color Code] input field is being added to the Color Palette UI, so you can type in color codes you found in web searches or elsewhere.
- You can also re-enter previously used color codes in that field.
- Applies to Customization, Closet and [Settings] > [Chat Font Color].

Other improvements and bug fixes
- The souls of certain Pets, previously available only through Pet Chests, can now also be obtained directly from Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons.
- New crafting recipes let you craft True Dragon and Star Dragon Gear with a 100% success rate. These recipes guarantee success but never trigger COMBO (Great Success), and everything crafted this way is Bound and untradable. Both Bound and Unbound Artisan to Epic Gear can be used as materials.
- Existing recipes stay the same: they can fail, but they keep the COMBO chance for extra rewards and produce tradable Gear.
- Dungeon difficulty information is being added to Item Source.
What this means for you: you now pick your crafting risk profile – guaranteed Bound gear, or the old gamble with a COMBO upside and tradable results.
Retrieval and Restoration
- With the November 4, 2026 update, content entry passes that were not reset as intended in the EU region on October 25 will be granted.

FAQ
Normal difficulty requires a minimum item level of 2,800 and Hard requires 3,000. That’s only the entry requirement, though – it doesn’t guarantee a clear, since you still need character progression, combat proficiency and Force teamwork.
Yes. Normal offers the same types of item rewards as Hard, only the drop rates differ. Both difficulties also give you a guaranteed Gear Change Voucher, which you can convert into Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound).
You can enter from Lv. 45 and you get 3 hours of base playtime per week, extendable with Outer Entry Stones. Stats, skill levels and Stigma levels are standardized for everyone – only stat bonuses and specialization effects from class skills and Stigmas apply. Abyss Points earned through PvP in Outer Reshanta are reduced by 50%.
Twice a week instead of three times, on Thursdays and Saturdays at 21:00. The three Artifact Bosses (Executor Kaira, Executor Argo and Executor Tamasa) follow the same days at 21:30. As compensation, Abyss Points per Abyss Corridor run are up by 50%.
Your first 40 cumulative runs pay out 100% Kina, runs 41–50 give 80%, runs 51–60 give 60%, runs 61–70 give 40% and from run 71 onward you get 20%.
