NCSOFT has pushed out a small hotfix for the global version of AION 2 (Europe and the Americas). It fixes a single issue, but one you could run into straight from the Expedition menu: the Hard difficulty option was showing up for two Expeditions where it was never supposed to be available.
What the hotfix changes
- Fixed an issue where the Hard difficulty option was unintentionally displayed for the Fire Temple Expedition.
- Fixed the same issue for the Ferocious Horn Den Expedition.
That is the entire scope of the update. If you saw Hard listed for either of these two Expeditions, that display was a mistake and it is now gone.
How to apply it
The hotfix is not applied automatically while you are logged in. To get it:
- Exit the game.
- Update through the Steam or PURPLE launcher.
- Restart the game.
Until you do that, your client may still be running the older build, so it is worth doing before your next Expedition run.
What it means for you
Nothing in your progression changes and no rewards are touched – this is purely a fix to what the difficulty selection shows you. If you play on the global servers and do not have the game yet, you will find it on the AION 2 Steam page.
