This week’s update for the global version of AION 2 on Steam is all about Halloween. A new event currency, a town merchant, candies scattered around the towns, a batch of spooky cosmetics, plus a handful of class fixes and client-side improvements that should make the Abyss run smoother. Here’s everything that changed, explained in plain language. The patch goes live with this week’s downtime, which we covered in a separate article on the October 14 maintenance.
Shop changes during the server transfer period
While the server transfer period is running, a couple of items move house and one of them gets much more generous limits:
- “Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound)” and “Soul Crystal (Bound)” move from [Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special] to [Substance Morph > Special > Wind Breeze Merchants].
- The sales method for “Odyle Energy (Bound)” in [Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special] changes.
- The weekly limit of 16 per server for “Odyle Energy (Bound)” is removed.
- The weekly limit for “Odyle Energy (Bound)” goes from 4/4 to 20/20 per character.
- “Lower Abyss Rift Stone” is purchasable in [Shop > Wind Breeze Merchants > Special] for two weeks.
In practice that means a single character can stock up on far more Odyle Energy than before, because the cap is now tied to the character instead of the server.
Class changes
Only two classes get touched this week, and both entries are bug fixes rather than balance tuning.
Spiritmaster
- Summon: Ancient Spirit – an issue where Ancient Spirit summons at Level 15 or below did not activate their skills properly is fixed.
Sorcerer
- Fire Wall – bonus damage now applies in combat even when there’s a difference in elevation, and your Embers effect is no longer removed by another player’s stronger Embers.
- Cold Storm – same elevation fix for bonus damage, plus your Frostbite is no longer overwritten by another player’s stronger Frostbite.
- Bittercold Wind – the Frost Cooldown Reduction effect now works properly in combat when fighting across different elevations.
If you want the bigger picture of how the classes have been evolving, we also broke down the September 16 class changes.

The event runs from after the maintenance on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (CEST) until before the maintenance on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 (CET). For the Americas that’s after maintenance on Tuesday, October 13 (PDT) through before maintenance on Tuesday, November 3 (PST).
1) Attendance rewards
The <Trick or Treat> Attendance becomes available – check In-game menu – Attendance to see your rewards. You get 35 Halloween Pumpkin Coin (Event) on most days, and 100 on Day 7 and Day 14. Across all 14 days that adds up to 590 coins.

FAQ
It starts after the maintenance on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (CEST) and ends before the maintenance on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 (CET). On the American schedule it runs from after maintenance on October 13 (PDT) until before maintenance on November 3 (PST).
Two ways. The <Trick or Treat> Attendance pays 35 coins on most days and 100 coins on Day 7 and Day 14, and the ten event missions under [Season Mission] > [Event] pay 20 to 30 coins each, resetting once per week per server.
A Coin Merchant NPC is added to each town. Elyos find them in Verteron at Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village, Asmodians in Altgard at Safe Haven and Nornir Assembly.
During the server transfer period the weekly limit of 16 per server is removed and the per-character weekly limit goes from 4/4 to 20/20, so a single character can buy far more than before.
No. The class changes in this update only cover Spiritmaster and Sorcerer, and the global version runs with eight classes – Brawler is not among them.
