Bungie has published a post about its future, and it contains the one line Destiny players have been waiting years to read: all vaulted Destiny 2 content is coming back into the game. That campaign took a lot of shapes. The most recent Sony State of Play comment sections were flooded with Destiny 3 requests, alongside calls to boycott the company over its digital-only approach. An official Destiny 3 petition passed 410,000 unique signatures. Players also organized multiple server slams inside Destiny 2 to push player counts up and make the message impossible to ignore. What it could mean for your loot
Bringing back old destinations, campaigns and raids also means access to old loot. Fan-made projects had already restored the Leviathan Raid and several vaulted locations outside the official client, and the response to those was overwhelmingly positive. Bungie is now aiming at the same goal inside the game itself, with no external mods needed.
The open question is how far the studio goes with modernization. If vaulted weapons and armor become obtainable at T4 and T5 – potentially with new armor set bonuses in the mix – the return would hit much harder than a straight re-release.
