David “frozen” Čerňanský is the most successful Counter-Strike player of today’s Czech-Slovak scene. He is Slovak, but his career took off in Czechia: at thirteen he won the Czech Championship (MČR), and he signed his first professional contract with the Czech team eXtatus. Today he plays for FaZe Clan and has an IEM Chengdu title and three Major finals to his name. This page sums up his teams, results and HLTV ranking placements. News from the big tournaments is in the Esports section.
Who is frozen
Frozen’s real name is David Čerňanský and he is Slovak. He has played Counter-Strike since the CS:GO days, now CS2, as a rifler. His connection to the Czech scene goes back to his beginnings: with the team nEophyte he won the 2015 Czech Championship run by PLAYzone, when he was thirteen, and right after that he signed with eXtatus.

From eXtatus to mousesports
At eXtatus he broke through in 2017 as one of the biggest talents in the region, but then his career stalled and frozen tried his luck in several international lineups. The turning point came on 14 March 2019, when mousesports signed him at sixteen, together with karrigan and woxic. He spent almost five years with the team, which was later renamed MOUZ. In 2021 HLTV named him MVP of Flashpoint Season 3.
FaZe Clan
On 4 December 2023 he moved to FaZe as Twistzz’s replacement and debuted at the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 in Abu Dhabi. In April 2024 he won IEM Chengdu 2024 with FaZe, beating his former team MOUZ 2:0 in the final. He has reached the final of a Major three times, each time without the title: at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 and StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, where FaZe lost to Vitality in the final. How a Major works and how teams qualify for it is covered on the CS2 Major page.

Settings
He showed his settings in an ESL video from 2023: a Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse, 400 DPI, sensitivity 1.7, 4000 Hz polling rate and 1024×768 resolution with black bars. They may have changed since then, so take them as a starting point rather than his current setup.
Where to follow frozen
On X he goes by FROZENNcs. FaZe matches are broadcast by tournament organizers on their own channels. I keep track of results and context in the Esports section.
Get involved: the path he took
Frozen started out at the Czech Championship, and that path is still open today. The Tipsport MČR CS 2026 open qualifiers run from 10 to 31 October, and anyone with a five-player team can sign up. The main stage culminates in the final on 22 November in Brno. For up-and-coming teams there is the Vodafone Talent League. The Czech top tier frozen grew out of is now led by teams such as SINNERS and UNiTY.
