Once Human November 4 Update: Nailoong Crossover, First Person Rework and Batch Replace

Once Human November 4 Update: Nailoong Crossover, First Person Rework and Batch Replace

Server maintenance is scheduled for November 4, 2026 at 3:00 PM (PT) and should take roughly two hours – the exact reopening time may shift, so plan your session accordingly. The update brings the “Nailoong” crossover event, a thorough overhaul of first person combat and exploration, batch replacement of building skins in your Territory, new custom dye options, comments for Custom Servers and the “Party Boing!” Lightforge Loot Crate.

Download sizes: PS5 launcher approx. 3.550 GB, Xbox launcher approx. 4.16 GB, PC launcher approx. 2.98 GB, PC in-game approx. 433 MB (if the Steam push is delayed, you may end up downloading twice), Android approx. 545 MB, iOS approx. 556 MB. The devs recommend updating over Wi-Fi. If you don’t own the game yet, you’ll find it on the Once Human page on Steam.

After maintenance, every player receives Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko’s Mark ×100, Stardust Secret Crate S15 (Epic) ×1, Colorful Badge ×30 and Transformation Cookie: Nailoong ×5. The next update is planned for November 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM (PT) – the Visional Wheel is about to turn and a colossal face is gazing down from the Nova onto Nalcott. More details on the Visional Wheel game mode will come in upcoming Dev Blogs.

Nailoong crossover: Boing! in the middle of Nalcott

Don’t let that soft, squishy tummy fool you – when Nailoong charges, it’s a force to be reckoned with. During the event you can transform into Nailoong yourself.

Event period: November 5 – November 25 (server time).

  • Nailoong Transformation – shout “NAILOONG” in World chat and you’ll get a Transformation Cookie: Nailoong. Eat it and Boing! – you’re the round little creature.
  • Tummy Battle – once transformed, you can use this exclusive skill out in the wilderness. See who cracks up first.
  • Nailoong Party – get the limited-time Nailoong Disco Light from the Nailoong Check-In event, place it in the wilderness and invite passersby to dance. The more people, the better the party.
  • Nailoong Photo Frame – an exclusive collaboration photo frame for capturing all those transformations, dances and tummy battles.

Careful: once the event ends, the Nailoong transformation item, Nailoong Disco Light and Nailoong Photo Frame can no longer be used, so try them while they’re live.

Nailoong Egg: an exclusive Deviation skin

Every player gets a Nailoong Egg. Daily activity tasks and friend-invite tasks earn you Hatch Attempts; each click moves progress forward based on a base value and a random Multiplier, with a chance of a high-Multiplier Crit Hit that pushes hatching a long way ahead.

  • Cracked State (30%) – Limited Nailoong Crossover Avatar – Storybook Dreams ×1
  • Split State (60%) – Limited Nailoong Crossover Namecard – Storybook Dreams ×1
  • Fractured State (85%) – Limited Nailoong Crossover Namecard Theme – Storybook Dreams ×1
  • Hatched State (100%) – the grand prize: the limited Logging Beaver Deviation skin “Carpenter Nailoong” ×1

Egg progress and hatching status are shared across every character on the same account.

Nailoong Wheel and Nailoong Check-In

One Nailoong Draw Ticket spins the Nailoong Wheel. A round consists of 15 draws and each round contains one Super Grand Prize – the pool features the Cradle Charm – Shark Swim Ring, limited Nailoong crossover stickers, Stardust Secret Crate S15 (Legendary/Epic), Lightforge Ingot, Prismatic Laser Dye, Deep Galaxy Dye and more.

The Nailoong Check-In event rewards daily logins and check-ins, including the limited-time party item Nailoong Disco Light.

First person combat and exploration fully reworked

This is the biggest mechanical change of the update – if you play from first person, the differences will be immediately obvious:

  • Reworked roll – the first person roll animation has been completely redone to better match the visuals of the view, cutting down on awkwardness and making evasive moves feel more believable.
  • Smoother ladders in every view – gone are the rigid fixed-distance steps. You now move up and down ladders continuously and fluidly.
  • Omnidirectional low climbing – climbing and vaulting over low obstacles in first person now works in any direction, so moving through complex terrain feels much more natural.
  • Weapon switching left/right – first person now has a “Camera Switch” animation. Press the button and your weapon moves to the left side of the screen, which comes in handy when shooting from left-hand cover.

If you’re still figuring out what to shoot with, we’ve got a separate overview of builds and weapons on the site.

Territory: batch replacement and holographic construction

Swapping building material skins piece by piece is over. Within your Territory:

  • Entire connected buildings now support batch replacement and removal of material skins – one click to switch styles.
  • Facilities of the same type in a whole building also support batch replacement and removal of cosmetics.
  • The inheritance logic for single skin replacement has been optimized and now supports all structures.

Design layout holographic construction has been improved too:

  • Houses inside a Territory can now be moved as a whole.
  • When placing a design layout, you can pick a snap point while moving an entire house.
  • Selecting a target structure now shows its material consumption.
  • You can select individual structures to build; for floating buildings the system automatically calculates the optimal support path.

Everything about base locations, relocating and upgrading is covered in our Territory guide.

New custom dye options

Some fashion sets and parts now support custom dye, so you can head to the cosmetics interface and recolor them.

Sets: Cloud Reverie, Dynamic Moment, Skyline, Cambrian, Saddleback Caprice, Rising Nova, Northwind, Cozy Woodland Set, Salty Breeze, Miststrider, Source Overload, Tidal Crossing, Ocean Vibe, Noise Manifesto, Wanderer’s Tavern, Sunset Brew, Azure Prelude, Scarlet Nightwatch, Leaping Chorus, Lightchaser, Snow Summit, Youth Strike, Windbloom Emblem, Blackfire Skull.

Parts: Center of Attention, Scroll Vision Glasses, Inky Sky, Order of Night, Spinning Saw Ring, Arrow of No Return, Move Freely, Sunny Beach Day, Better Not Mess With Me!, Gentle Breeze, Astral Gold, Frosted Lashes, Secrets of the Night, Fluffy Warm Paws, Crimson Alert, Tangled Thorn Vines, Flame Graffiti, Blues Shorts, Mist Butterfly, Crimson Wings, Iron Fist Lord, Silver-Veined Bone, Vintage Haze, Neon Horizon, Crane Feather Blaze.

Isles of Abyss: new facilities for water Territory

Ships get two practical additions:

  • Straight Ladder – a new Water Territory facility you can interact with and climb while swimming.
  • Rolling Shutter Door – can now be built on ships, letting you divide interior spaces more flexibly.

Pre-registration for Isles of Abyss is open. New servers in North America and Europe open every Tuesday and Saturday at 8:00; in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, South America and HK & MO & TW every Saturday at 8:00. The number of servers opened depends on pre-registrations, but at least one opens each time (all times follow each region’s server time). If you’re wondering how the individual scenarios differ, we’ve written about that separately.

Custom Server updates

  • Players on Custom Servers and official servers can now add each other as friends, send private messages and join group chats.
  • A new category has been added to Server Host privileges with future expansions in mind.
  • Server Hosts get a more distinct font color in chat and a Server Host label.
  • Hosts can set in-game benefits such as Server Entry Gift Packs and Login Gift Packs in [Server Host Privileges – Server Host Functions].
  • New additions: Snowline Elite Vest and SOCR Cosmic Visitor (blueprints, weapons, gear, custom weapons), the Isles of Abyss custom dungeon Heart of the Sunken (enabled by default once the scenario enters its Rest period) and the deployable Deviations Duet and Chaos Rebecca.
  • Comments are live – after at least 10 minutes played on a server you can post a review on the [Server Details Page], browse other players’ ratings, like helpful reviews and find a server that fits you faster.

Shop: Party Boing! and other arrivals

Everything below becomes available after the November 4 (PT) update.

Nailoong Checks: sign in during the event to claim rewards including Nailoong Checks worth 2000 Crystgin and a Nailoong Draw Ticket. Checks offset Crystgin at a 1:1 ratio or can be combined with it, covering up to 20% of an order’s Crystgin cost. They’re valid for four weeks only. Nailoong Draw Tickets replace one draw from the Party Boing! Loot Crate.

Lightforge Loot Crate: Party Boing! contains the Ultra vehicle skin “Gurgle Express”, the Ultra Void Wings skin “Wildlands Cutie”, the Legendary set “Rhythm Starcore”, the Legendary Cradle cosmetics “Chubby Buddy”, the Epic Hype facility cosmetic “Vending Machine – Nailoong’s Corner” and the Epic Hype group action “Who’s the Real Cutie”. Gurgle Express has its own dust VFX when accelerating and a bouncing Nailoong while driving, Wildlands Cutie adds spiral and trail effects while gliding plus a greeting animation on landing, and Rhythm Starcore triggers the “Starcore Rhythm” effect on jumps. The Lightforge Benefits Pack starts at 60 Crystgin and contains Lightforge Ingots and Lightforge Lucky Bags; you’ll find it under Shop > Super Value Deals > Lightforge Benefits. Full details are in the Lightforge Loot Crate announcement.

Combo Crate “Awoo’s Adventure” is a Lucky Points blind box with the Legendary Territory collectible “Spirited Nailoong”, the Epic set “Plushie Party Set” and the Deviation cosmetic “Brave Nailoong – Brave George”. You can buy all cosmetics at once or draw individually – the total Crystgin cost is identical and rewards drawn are removed from the pool. Each draw earns Lucky Points that carry over between pools; 100 points means a rebate. Available for four weeks under Shop > Combo Crate. Duplicates from Shop purchases are dismantled into a small amount of Lightforge Relic.

Other arrivals: the Epic Hype fashion part “Guess Who I Am?” from 60 Crystgin, plus the Epic weapon skins “Fizzy Soda – AUG”, “Fizzy Soda – KAM” and “Fizzy Soda – G17” – the bundle costs 980 Crystgin during the limited-time offer and includes the “Cute Dragon” weapon charm; the skins can also be bought separately.

Repeat-Draw Blind Box [Poem of Binding] arrives on November 11 (PT) for four weeks. One draw costs 30 Crystgin with a discount on your first Crystgin draw. Rewards include the Epic set “Poem of Binding Set”, the Deviation cosmetic “Dreaming Galaxy – Mini Singularity” and the Epic Hype sole action “Swaying Ribbon”. You can draw up to 60 times, with the set grand prize guaranteed within those 60 draws.

Experience optimizations

Cosmetics

  • Updated Fashion Traits interface, better quick-equip for sets and their traits, clearer display of which body parts a trait affects.
  • Certain traits can now be equipped up to 2 at a time – including effects triggered by sprinting, firing or defeating enemies.
  • Some [Set Exclusive] trait VFX now work even without the matching pieces equipped (Underworld Echo, Bloodthirsty Mecha, Hymn of the Carnage).

Territory construction

  • The [Collectible] tab in the [Furniture] category has moved right after the [Common] tab in Build Mode.
  • Cleaner layout for the ship hull repair materials interface.
  • You can now adjust the volume of instruments, jukeboxes and Radios in your Territory individually.
  • Display rules for some facility info panels were optimized – with lots of functional facilities, adjust Settings > Game Settings > Territory Display Settings > 3D UI Display Range for better smoothness.
  • Facility limits for Water Territory and regular Territory are now independent of each other, and the buildable count is shown in the Water Territory build interface.

Class, bounties and wilderness

  • Beastmaster gets Quick Commands – while carrying a Beast Whistle you can issue commands to animals straight through marking. Enabled by default, can be turned off in Settings.
  • Market Bounties added new furniture formulas: Rare Abode Chests can now drop a Tree-shaped Storage Shelf, Patterned Doormat, Striped Canopy, Metal Side Table, Colorful Shelf, Stone-Pattern Cooking Station, Bowl and Chopsticks Storage Box, Green Top Parasol, Metal Row Chair, Round-seat High Chair and Rainbow String Lights.
  • Sheep in the wilderness no longer scatter the moment you walk up – they fight back or flee only when they genuinely feel threatened.
  • Much higher chance of obtaining Lv. 6 Ship Cannons in Lv. 60+ land calamity zones on the Isles of Abyss.

Combat and Voyagers

The DMG Multiplier of cannonballs, Mist of Deceit Wicks and Mist Core cannonballs against the Calamity Tower has been increased.

Based on combat data and community feedback, the devs found that some Voyagers were taking too long to sink relative to the pace of exploration, which made longer fights drag. Voyager HP in the wilderness has therefore been rebalanced against the actual output of different Ship Cannon setups – Lv. 60 Voyagers saw the biggest changes, which should noticeably speed up combat in higher-level waters.

Vehicles, social and the rest

  • Better steering for overweight boats – they can now be steered even above 10,000 kg.
  • Improved cross-server status indicators and clearer cross-server prompts; Custom Server and official server players can be friends, message each other and share group chats.
  • The anti-cheat movement detection was optimized, cutting false positives caused by characters getting stuck in terrain.
  • Controller vibration on PC now behaves the same as on consoles, and Xbox One controllers are supported with improved compatibility overall.
  • Mobile [Memory Optimization] no longer requires hitting a capacity threshold – you can free up memory whenever you want.
  • Active Starchrom Loot Crates can no longer be opened when you’re at the Starchrom cap; the game will warn you instead.
  • The Territory Deviation [Lethal Rabbit] has a new look and a new name, [Gentleman Rabbit]. Functions and acquisition are unchanged and owned Deviations update automatically; the Morphed version’s appearance stays the same, only the name changed.

Since Starchrom plays into both crate opening and a chunk of the reward package, it’s worth checking our guide to farming resources and currencies.

Bug fixes

Territory construction

  • Naval Mines could not be crafted – after the update you can unlock them in the Tech system.
  • Some optional ingredients were missing and couldn’t be selected during dish preparation in certain cases.
  • The interface displayed incorrectly when you received a Water Territory design layout shared by another player.

Dungeons

  • In Securement Silo – ALPHA, Rosetta Elite enemies didn’t drop Access Cards when killed by lasers.

Combat

  • The AoE damage radius text in the [PDW90 – Holographic Resonance] weapon trait was shown incorrectly (actual combat was unaffected).
  • The DMG Multiplier of Mist of Deceit Wicks and Mist Core cannonballs wasn’t applied when attacking Voyagers and buildings.

Where to next
