PlayStation Studios games are no longer a PS5-only affair. Sony releases them on PC too and sells them through Steam and the Epic Games Store. This guide shows which games you can find on PC, what five well-known titles cost on Steam as of 20 October 2026, which games still need a PSN account and what signing in gets you when it is optional.
Where to buy PlayStation games on PC
On PC you buy Sony’s games in two stores: Steam and the Epic Games Store. On Sony’s official PlayStation PC games page almost every title has buttons for both stores. The exceptions are Helldivers 2 and the original Helldivers, which Sony lists with Steam only.
As of 20 October 2026, Sony’s page includes, among others:
- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (currently a pre-order)
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
- Helldivers 2 and Helldivers
- Days Gone
- Destiny 2
- Ghost of Tsushima
- God of War and God of War Ragnarök
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
We do not reproduce the full list because it changes with every new port. Sony’s page always shows the current line-up. How long PS5 games take to reach PC is covered in our piece on PlayStation exclusives.
Five games at a glance: release, price and PSN account
The table covers five games where the PSN question comes up most. Prices are Steam prices for Czechia (listed in euros) as of 20 October 2026, without discounts. The PSN column shows what Steam lists on the game page under third-party accounts.

When a PSN account is required on PC and when it is not
This is a game-by-game question. The blanket statement that you no longer need PSN on PC is not true.
Optional for four single-player games
Since January 2025 a PSN account has been optional for four single-player games: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarök, The Last of Us Part II Remastered and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Sony announced this on 29 January 2025 on the PlayStation Blog, and PC World and TechRadar reported it as well. You can buy, download and play these games without linking a Sony account.
For Spider-Man 2, Sony confirms it directly on its Spider-Man 2 support page: account linking for PlayStation is optional on PC.
Required for Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 lists PlayStation Network under third-party accounts on Steam, noting that it supports linking to a Steam account. Steam treats it as a requirement for this game, so plan on having a PSN account.
Games with online multiplayer
According to the press, Sony still requires an account for games with online multiplayer. PC World named LEGO Horizon Adventures, where Steam lists a PSN login, and TechRadar mentioned the Legends mode in Ghost of Tsushima. Sony has not published an official list, so before you buy any other game check its Steam page. Steam lists third-party account requirements there, just as it does for Helldivers 2.
What you get for signing in
Even where the account is optional, Sony rewards you for linking it. For Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Sony’s support page lists two early unlock suits (the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and the Miles Morales 2099 Suit), plus the ability to earn PlayStation trophies and friend management. For the other three games, the PlayStation Blog lists their own in-game bonuses for signing in.
PlayStation error codes on PC
If a Sony game on PC shows an error starting with PF, do not look it up in the PS5 list. Sony keeps a separate PC error code list where you can enter the code and find the fix.
