PS Plus Adds Four Games, and Mycopunk Lands on Extra on October 20

A fresh wave of games has landed in the PlayStation Plus catalog, and with it one whole season of pre-announced titles wraps up. If you’re on one of the higher tiers, four new games are already waiting in your library – and one of them is the last name from a list Sony revealed back in June. On top of that, we now know exactly when the next big addition arrives and which games are on their way out.

What just joined Extra and Premium

Subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers got four additions in this wave:

• RuneScape: Dragonwilds – an open-world survival crafting game, added on day one
• WWE 2K26 – the sports simulation
• Mega Man X Command Mission – the turn-based spin-off of the franchise
• Metro Redux – the post-apocalyptic shooter package

There’s no need to rush any of them. Once a game is in the catalog it stays there until it rotates out, so you can start whenever you feel like it. If you’re still on the basic tier, the breakdown of what each level includes sits on the official PlayStation Plus page.

The June list is now complete

At the start of June, PlayStation used a State of Play to reveal five upcoming PS Plus games ahead of time:

• Big Walk (day-one addition)
• RuneScape: Dragonwilds (day-one addition)
• Gitaroo Man
• Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
• Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

Thanks to that reveal you knew roughly which game was coming to the service each month from June through September. RuneScape: Dragonwilds was the final name on the list, so the June era is officially done. Mycopunk arrives on Extra on October 20

PlayStation repeated the format with another State of Play at the start of September and confirmed four more games for the service. Mega Man X Command Mission has already shown up as part of this wave. The co-op title Mycopunk is next for PS Plus Extra, and it now has a firm date: October 20, 2026. Dino Crisis 2 and Ratchet & Clank are still lined up for PS Plus Premium, but neither has any timing information attached.

Mycopunk is a first-person looter shooter in which you take control of a crew of robots fighting a fungal infection. It supports both solo play and four-player co-op. The game has been available on Steam since July 2025, where it holds a Very Positive rating with 91 % positive reviews – players praise the fast-paced combat, the extensive weapon and upgrade customization and the co-op side of things, while most of the criticism comes down to the fact that it’s still in Early Access. The PS5 version follows that Steam run.

The rest of the October lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium won’t be revealed until October 14, so the full picture of next month’s catalog is still a few days away.

These games leave PS Plus on October 20

The same day Mycopunk arrives, eight titles rotate out of the service. If any of them are on your list, finish them before then:

June versus September

There’s one notable difference between the two reveals. June spelled out when most of the games would show up, while September largely skipped the dates – Mycopunk’s October 20 slot has only been pinned down since, and the two Premium titles remain undated. In short, the September batch is both smaller (four games versus five) and vaguer than the June one. The pre-announcement format is still a welcome way to shine a light on upcoming catalog additions, and there’s a decent chance Sony brings it back around the end of the year or early next year.
