The Supremacy Intercontinental Championship is the global competition that runs in parallel with the American championship, and both paths lead to the same place: the World Championship. Between September 30 and December 19, the “rest of the world” will be fighting over 12 qualifying slots – and both the Czech and Slovak national teams are part of that fight.
Both national teams landed in the same group
The draw put Czechia and Slovakia into Group D, which means one of the two neighbors is guaranteed points from their head-to-head clash, and the odds that at least one of them advances go up. Group D has seven teams in total and they play a full round robin over the coming weeks.
The top three teams from each group move straight to the world finals. Teams finishing fourth and fifth still get a second life – they drop into the Last Chance Qualifier, where the remaining slots are decided. Anything below that is the end of the road.

What it means for you
If you follow the competitive side of the game, this is the stretch of the season where national pride and World Championship slots are on the line at the same time. Most matches are scheduled for late evenings, so they are easy to catch after work – and the October 23 and October 28 double headers let you watch both national teams back to back.
We cover the local scene regularly too: we wrote about the Red Bull Wings Cup and about the FC 27 BRNO qualifiers, and everything else lives in our EA Sports FC section.
