Baldur’s Gate 3 Gets a 300-Option Cheat Mod on PS5 and Xbox Series

If you’ve ever hit a wall in Baldur’s Gate 3 on console and had no way out, there’s now an official shortcut. Larian has green-lit a fresh batch of mods for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of the game, and the headliner is Cheater’s Menu – a single mod that packs roughly 300 cheat options into your playthrough.

What Cheater’s Menu actually does

The scope of the commands ranges from trivial to absurd. You can top up your gold pouch, or you can max out your entire party in one go. That makes it a practical fix if your save has become unwinnable because of earlier decisions, or if you simply want to replay the campaign without the friction.

The mod is split into ten subsections:

  • Character
  • Power
  • Utility
  • Spells
  • Items
  • Editor
  • Feats
  • Skills
  • Races
  • Search

Through those tabs you can unlock spells that are normally off-limits, rig dice rolls so they always land in your favor, or just teleport the whole party to a single spot. Using it in-game is deliberately simple: once installed, you cast a spell and the full menu opens up for you to browse.

Cheater’s Menu isn’t console-exclusive either – it’s available for the PC and Mac versions of Baldur’s Gate 3 as well, where the modding scene remains far bigger than what’s approved for consoles.

The rest of the new console mod batch

Cheater’s Menu is only one entry in the new approvals. PlayStation and Xbox players also get mods that add new classes and subclasses, including a Warlock Dragon Patron subclass and Spell Thief, which brings a Final Fantasy Blue Mage-style subclass into the game. Beyond that, there are new outfits, additional body types, dynamic difficulty scaling and a double enemies option.

Not every mod plays nicely with every other one, but mixing some of these with Cheater’s Menu is a reasonable way to shake up a campaign you’ve already seen from every angle. If you follow tabletop class design as well, we’ve covered the Underdark playtest subclasses in a separate article.

PC players get a whole new dungeon

On PC there’s a bigger project worth a look: The Sunless Citadel, a modded campaign that adds roughly eight hours of new content. It supports co-op, so you can pull friends in for the dungeon crawl. The mod is still incomplete, which is why it isn’t available on consoles – though that could change later.

FAQ

What platforms can run Cheater’s Menu?

It’s now approved for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, and it’s also available for the PC and Mac versions of Baldur’s Gate 3.

How many options does the mod include?

Around 300 cheat options, split across ten subsections: Character, Power, Utility, Spells, Items, Editor, Feats, Skills, Races and Search.

How do you open the menu in-game?

Once the mod is installed, you use it like casting a spell – that brings up the full menu to navigate.

Can it fix a playthrough that’s stuck?

That’s one of its main uses. If earlier decisions made your run too hard to progress, you can use the commands to ease things up slightly or turn the campaign into a complete walkover.

Is The Sunless Citadel campaign available on consoles?

No. The modded campaign adds roughly eight hours of co-op-compatible content, but it’s still incomplete and currently PC-only, though that may change in the future.
