Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 needs at least an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or Radeon RX 580 on PC. It takes up 100 GB, and an SSD is mandatory. Below you will find the minimum and recommended specs, how the game runs on Steam Deck, what native Windows on ARM support means and which other platforms you can play it on. Everything here is current as of 19 October 2026.
Minimum and recommended PC specs
The specs come from the game’s Steam page, which lists two setups: minimum and recommended. Both need the same amount of disk space and both require an SSD.

| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit or newer | Windows 10 64-bit or newer |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | Intel Core i7-13700K / AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 32 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) / AMD Radeon RX 580 | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 / AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT |
| Storage | 100 GB | 100 GB |
| Drive type | SSD required | SSD required |
The jump from minimum to recommended is biggest on the processor and memory. The recommended setup asks for 32 GB of RAM, twice the minimum, and current-generation CPUs. On the graphics side the minimum is a 6 GB GTX 1060, while the recommendation points to an RTX 4070 or a Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Disk space and SSD
The game needs 100 GB on both the minimum and recommended setups. An SSD is mandatory in both cases, not just a suggestion, so a traditional hard drive (HDD) is not among the supported configurations.
The story expansions and smaller add-ons are listed in our DLC guide. Mods are covered too: official support runs through Steam Workshop, and the details are in our mods guide.
Controllers, Steam Cloud, Mac and Linux
On PC you can play with mouse and keyboard or a controller. The game has full controller support, including DualShock and DualSense, and saves through Steam Cloud, so you can pick up where you left off on another PC. Patch 1.5.6 on 25 June 2026 also added Steam Controller support.
Mac and Linux are not supported natively. Officially, the game runs on Windows only.
Steam Deck: rated Playable
On Steam Deck, KCD2 is officially rated “Playable”, not “Verified”. According to Valve’s compatibility check:
- the default controls work,
- the on-screen button icons match the Deck,
- the default graphics settings run well,
- some interface text is hard to read.
That small text is the reason the game misses the top rating. You can play on the Deck without tweaking anything, just expect to squint at some interface text on the small screen. Warhorse also published a separate Steam Deck announcement on 30 January 2025, shortly before launch.
Windows on ARM
Patch 1.5.3 on 5 March 2026 added native Windows on ARM support. The game now runs on laptops with Snapdragon X Elite processors without emulation.
Consoles and Switch 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launched on 4 February 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On consoles there are no specs to worry about. The Royal Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, with no exact date or price announced yet. Prices for every platform, the editions and Game Pass availability are in our price and editions guide.
The game ships with full voice acting in several languages, including English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese. If you are just getting started, our beginner’s guide will help with the first hours.
