The darkness is spreading across the Island and you get to fight it with the crew from KINGDOM HEARTS. The crossover brings the Kingdom Key to Fortnite, two themed Overrides, a limited-time event and a full wave of Outfits in the Fortnite Shop.
Kingdom Key and Sea Salt Ice Cream
The Kingdom Key is a melee weapon that lets you unleash a flurry of combos up close, and it can also call down a shocking bolt on your opponents. If you need to patch yourself up mid-fight, pick up a Sea Salt Ice Cream – it restores some health and shields.
Above it all hangs the heart-shaped moon, and beneath it two new KINGDOM HEARTS Overrides spawn on the Island. If you want the bigger picture of how Overrides reshaped the Island, we covered it in our piece on the Fortnite map.
The two new Overrides
- Recovery Override (Squad & Match-Wide): eliminating a player with any weapon drops healing orbs.
- Level Up Override (Squad): spawns a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member at their current location.
KINGDOM HEARTS Power Hours
There’s also a limited-time window called KINGDOM HEARTS Power Hours, where every player starts the match with the Kingdom Key and a Sea Salt Ice Cream. Outfits in the Fortnite Shop
The Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas Outfits have landed in the Fortnite Shop. Each one comes with its own Back Bling, Pickaxe and LEGO Fortnite style. Keep an eye out for the Shadow Steppers Kicks as well.
