Fortnite Treasure Hunters: One Piece Powers, New Island and Captain X's Mega Chest

Fortnite Treasure Hunters: One Piece Powers, New Island and Captain X’s Mega Chest

On November 1 the hunt begins. Fortnite sets sail into Treasure Hunters, a Season built around a brand new Island, One Piece powers and mysterious loot scattered everywhere you look. Epic is billing it as the greatest adventure of all time, and the structure matches that: every week a new captain shows up in Battle Royale with their own crew and their own POI.

The Straw Hats and A$AP Rocky lead the way, with Lil Uzi Vert, Cap’n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto following behind them. New treasures lie hidden across the Island too, including whatever is sitting inside Captain X’s mega chest.

New shores to explore

The new 80-player Crossbones Isle is where the Season plays out. You can climb into a cannon and launch yourself across the map, and among the landing spots are Arlong Park and Windmill Village straight out of One Piece.

  • Jump into the action as Luffy with the Gum-Gum Fruit.
  • Slice through opponents with Zoro’s Three Sword Style.
  • Board the $.$. Rocky, A$AP Rocky’s new battleship POI, and rain rockets from above with the Shock Rocket.

One treasure hunting tip from Epic: keep Saturday, December 5 open. Time is on your side… for now. That date is reserved for the Chapter 7 end event, so you will want to be online for it. If you are still figuring out where to spend your time between the main playlists, our overview of Fortnite game modes walks through what each one offers.

Battle Pass: a crew of your own

Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin headline the new Battle Pass, joined by new anime looks for Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader and Charlotte. There is also a gifting bonus: give the Battle Pass to a friend and you both receive a bonus Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.

Not sure whether the pass is worth it for you? We broke down the numbers in our guide to the Battle Pass price.

Captain’s Days: new Sprites, weapons and more

Captain’s Days are the recurring beats of the Season. On each one, all-new weapons, Sprites and more drop onto the map. The first lands together with the Season on November 1 at 9 AM ET, with further ones on November 7, 12, 14 and 21.

On top of that, Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays run throughout the Season. They add Captain’s weapons to the start of every match, boosted drops and more.
