A new Marvel Rivals patch goes live on October 1, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, and there’s good news right away: no server downtime is planned. You just download the patch and jump straight back in.
This one is a lighter update focused on cosmetics, the Pop & Win event and esports predictions, plus a short list of fixes. Here’s everything that’s changing.
All-New Content
New In Store
Two fresh costumes and a Chroma set land in the store:
- Luna Snow – Lunar Luna
- Phoenix – Cosmic Spark
- Luna Snow – Lunar Luna Chroma in the Pink Planets and Dark Nebula variants, including Ultimate Ability VFX
Availability: October 2, 2026, 02:00 UTC to October 30, 2026, 02:00 UTC. After that window closes, the items leave the store, so don’t leave it to the last day.
If you’re still figuring out which of these two heroes fits your playstyle before spending anything, our overview of heroes and roles breaks down what each role actually does in a match. And if you’re wondering which parts of the game cost real money at all, we covered that in a separate piece on free-to-play and pricing.
Pop & Win
The Pop & Win event is serving up fresh rewards this week, and both new stars are in the pool: Luna Snow’s Lunar Luna and Phoenix’s Cosmic Spark. Step up, test your luck and you may walk away with either of them at a serious discount.
Event duration: September 17, 2026, 09:00 UTC to October 16, 2026, 02:00 UTC.

Fixes and Optimizations
Other
- Rogue’s Restricted Airspace: fixed a typo in the ability description for Rogue’s stolen Adam Warlock ability, which wildly claimed she could enter “fly freely.” The X-Men’s southern belle is staying grounded this time.
- Pajama Party Preferences: fixed an issue in the Jeff’s Superstar Search event where clicking the “GO” button to matchmake forced the lobby to switch to Quick Match. You can now chase those stars in whatever mode you prefer.
- Chroma Custodian Clean-up: fixed a UI glitch in the Customize menu where the description text for a Chroma would stay stuck on screen after you unselected it. The costume interface is sparkling clean again.
What it means for you
There’s nothing here that shifts the meta – no hero balance changes and no new maps or modes. This week is about cosmetics, the Pop & Win discount shot and the Ignite Series playoff predictions, with three quality-of-life fixes cleaning up the Customize menu and the Jeff’s Superstar Search event flow.

No. The only gameplay-adjacent change is a typo fix in the description of Rogue’s stolen Adam Warlock ability – the text itself was wrong, nothing about her actual kit is described as changing.
