Which languages Palworld supports
As of 11 September 2026, Pocketpair lists seventeen languages: English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, German, European and Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Indonesian, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese and Polish.
Polish in particular is worth noting: it shows the studio localizes beyond the biggest European markets, so the list isn’t necessarily final. Nobody has promised anything, though.
Unofficial translations: what to watch out for
Czech and Slovak are not on the official list, so Czech players made an unofficial community translation that works with all three PC versions (Steam, Epic Games and Xbox Game Pass), and a separate Slovak variant exists too. The Czech translation appeared shortly after the game launched in early access in January 2024, when interest in Palworld was huge. An unofficial translation modifies the game files, and in a live online game that has three consequences.
It can stop working after an update. On 9 July 2026, Palworld received version 1.0, which expanded the game significantly. After every update this big, the texts and their structure change and the translation has to be adjusted. Before you install one, check which game version it’s made for.
It can cause trouble in multiplayer. The game can be played co-op and on dedicated servers; modified files on the client usually aren’t a problem, but when something breaks, tracking down the cause is a pain.
Back up the original files. This applies to any unofficial translation. If something stops working, you want to be able to go back without reinstalling the whole game.
Unofficial translations install into the files of the PC version, so they can’t be used on PS5 or Xbox.
Can you play Palworld if your language isn’t supported?
It works better than you might expect. Palworld relies on icons, the map and numbers: Pals show their traits as pictograms, buildings have a preview, resources have a picture. What you do need to know is a handful of terms that come up again and again.

Will more languages be added?
Pocketpair hasn’t said anything about it. But the game keeps being developed after the 1.0 release, and the list of languages has grown over the game’s lifetime, so it can’t be ruled out. If a new language arrives, it will show up on the game’s Steam page first, since that’s where the list of supported languages gets updated.
