Roblox gift card codes, promo codes and toy codes are all redeemed in one place: roblox.com/redeem in a web browser. This guide covers the steps, the different code types and what each one gives you, what to do when a code throws an error, and how to spot a scam. Roblox hands out promo codes at its own events and in contests. Toy codes come with things like Jazwares figures, Nerf or Monopoly, and partner codes come from offers such as Prime Gaming or Verizon. Retail packs include the Mini Pack with 40 coins of 50 Robux each and the Party Pack with 25 cards of 200 Robux each.
How to redeem a code step by step
- In a web browser, open roblox.com/redeem.
- Sign in to the account you want the code added to.
- Type the code into the field.
- Click Redeem.
Roblox codes work worldwide and the value is converted into your account’s currency. You can redeem as many as you like, but one at a time. A retail code adds Robux to whichever account is signed in when you redeem it, so check you’re not in someone else’s account first.
You can’t redeem codes in the standard mobile app or on consoles. The exception is the Samsung Galaxy app, which has a More > Redeem option. Gift cards can’t be redeemed on PlayStation at all, only in a browser on a computer.
A toy code for a virtual item can only be redeemed once per account. The item appears in your Inventory and can’t be traded or sold.
What to do with gift card credit
You can spend gift card credit on Robux or on a Roblox Plus subscription. What Plus includes is covered in our Roblox Plus guide. Cards bought on Amazon and Party Packs can only be redeemed for Robux, not credit. Buying through a gift card also gets you up to 25% more Robux; see our Robux prices guide for how packages work.
Gift cards are sold by retailers and online. Roblox sells them directly online in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Australia. Roblox doesn’t refund gift cards.
Code not working: what to check
The most common problem is mixing up similar characters. Roblox support suggests checking these pairs:

Also make sure you’re entering the code in a browser at roblox.com/redeem, not in the app or on a console. With promo codes, remember they may have expired, as they’re usually time-limited.
Codes for individual games
Codes inside specific games on Roblox aren’t issued by Roblox but by the creators of those games. Creators may only give rewards usable in that game with no Robux value, and they must publish the terms. That’s why none of these codes will ever give you Robux. Roblox doesn’t verify the game code lists circulating online, and we don’t publish them here.
How to spot a scam
- Free Robux don’t exist. Free Robux generators are scams. Any offer of free Robux, subscriptions or valuable items is designed to steal your account.
- Never send Robux to “verify your account”. Roblox will never ask you to.
- Don’t trade outside the official system. Roblox doesn’t enforce or restore deals made outside Roblox.
- Don’t fake a purchase for a reward. Falsely claiming a purchase to get free Robux breaks the rules and can get your account deleted.
If your account has been stolen, remove malware and suspicious browser extensions, change your password and turn on two-step verification in Settings > Security, ideally with an authenticator app. If a reset doesn’t help, contact support from the account’s first email address or the email used for the first payment, within 30 days.
