Call of Duty: Warzone has no Czech localisation. No subtitles, no dubbing, not even a partial menu translation — and nothing suggests that is about to change. Steam lists fourteen languages for the game, Polish among them; Czech is not on the list and never was. So if you are looking for how to play in Czech, the answer does not run through a language setting but through who you end up in a match with. Czech in the game: how it stands
The official language list covers English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese and Latin American Spanish. Neither Czech nor Slovak appears on it.
There is no point pretending you can work around it. Unofficial translations do not get made for an online shooter with anti-cheat — tampering with game files is exactly what the system watches for, and you would risk a ban for something that gets you nothing beyond translated labels. The practical consequence: you simply learn the basic in-game vocabulary. It is not big. Loadout, gulag, buy station, contract, ring, plates — those few words open up both the game and every guide. Language is not only about text. Voice chat moderation, which is meant to deal with toxicity, works in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. A teammate swearing in Czech will therefore not be caught by the automated system — you can still report them normally, though.
The European region and where you actually play
Czechia and Slovakia fall into the European region and the game has no server of its own here. Ping from Czechia to European data centres is usually fine and technically almost nothing stands in the way; how the game feels depends more on your connection and settings than on the distance to the server.
But that also brings the downside: matchmaking drops you among Poles, Germans, Turks and Brits, and broken English becomes the lobby’s common language. The game will not find Czech for you. You have to bring it with you.
How to find Czech and Slovak teammates
Battle royale in a squad of four with friends and battle royale in a squad of four with random people are two different games. There are essentially three routes from the second to the first:
- Discord. This is where the Czech and Slovak gaming community gathers. Servers are free, they are split up by game and they have channels for finding teammates, where you post what you play and what time in the evening, and someone replies.
- Friend list. The most underrated tool in the game. When a match with a random teammate clicked, add them right after it ends. Within a month you have enough people for a full squad.
- Streams and their communities. Groups form around Czech streamers and play together outside broadcasts too. The downside is how bursty it is — when the streamer stops, the community disperses.

Why Discord specifically
The reason is mundane: in-game voice chat works for a lobby, not for organising. You cannot leave a message in it, you cannot arrange a match for tomorrow in it, and outside a match it does not exist. Discord, by contrast, is a place that runs all the time — you ask in the afternoon, you meet in the evening.
It helps to know how voice communication works inside the game itself. The settings offer a choice of who you talk to — the whole lobby, just your squad, just friends — and proximity chat, which lets you hear nearby opponents, is toggled separately. It works both ways, so it is both a source of information and a way to give away your own position. You can mute anyone at any point during a match, and a muted player also stops hearing you.
When you and your squad do not share a language
A mixed squad where every other player coordinates in English works better than you would expect — as long as you use what the game offers instead of speech:
- Marking. One tap marks the item, place or opponent you are aiming at. A double tap adds an enemy marker in a different colour. A marked spot says „we are going here“ more reliably than a sentence nobody will understand.
- Ten English words. Enemy, left, right, behind, reloading, down, rotate, push, hold, plates. With that vocabulary you can play a whole match.
- Text chat. Most people write English better than they speak it, and the quieter phases of a match leave time for it.
What does not work: speaking Czech into a lobby full of foreigners and expecting them to adapt. They will not.
How to follow the news in Czech
The game shares its seasons with Black Ops 7, a new season arrives roughly every two months, and smaller mid-season updates come on top of that. The official patch notes are in English and tend to be long — nobody enjoys scrolling through pages of weapon changes for one piece of information.
