The new season of FC 27 BRNO powered by Hyundai is up and running, and it gets straight to the point. Four open qualifiers go live at the end of September, and the entry barrier is basically zero – you do not need an invitation, a seeding spot or any results from previous seasons. Whoever makes it through a qualifier moves into the league phase, and the whole season ends live at the Life! festival.
Four open qualifiers, and you can play all of them
The qualifiers run from September 29 to October 8, always on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each event kicks off at 18:00, but registration is already open, so you can secure your spot well in advance. On the day itself you only confirm your attendance in the tournament system – everything after that is down to you and the bracket.
- Format: Single Elimination bracket
- Matches: BO1, with extra time and penalties if the score is level
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox
- Dates: September 29 – October 8, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18:00
Win and you advance. Lose and you simply wait for the next date, because nothing stops you from entering all four qualifiers. Each qualifier ends at the finals stage, which does not have to be played out.
Eight invited players are already waiting in the league phase
The league phase is topped up by an invited group of eight players from last season’s finals, so everyone who qualifies runs straight into the best performers of the previous campaign. From that group only Dominik „Revy” Révai dropped out after declining the invitation, which means the rest of the names stay exactly where they were.
The field is strong, but far from untouchable – the new EA Sports FC 27 season is a clean slate for everybody, and last year showed that breaking into the domestic elite is a realistic goal. If you want to keep track of everything around the series, we cover it in our EA Sports FC news section.
The invited players:
- Zdeněk „Rocksorr” Havlát
- Dominik „Seron” Čermák
- Jozef „fcst13″ Javorek
- Miroslav „Totik” Tóth
- Vojtěch „Vojtaa96″ Třešňák
- Jakub „Hamby” Hambálek
- René „Rehny” Büchner
- Jan „Skrolda” Suchý
League phase and the live finals
The league phase runs from October 3 to November 2 and keeps the format you already know from last season. Sixteen players battle it out in a Swiss system, where three wins mean a ticket to the Life! festival and three losses end the run.
The surviving eight meet on November 22 directly at the Brno exhibition grounds, the home of the Life! festival. The final stage is played in a Double Elimination format for a prize pool of 30,000 CZK, and the winners also lock in an early slot in the season finals.
