Funcom has pushed out another small but useful hotfix for Dune: Awakening on Steam. It is a client-side download, so if the update does not show up on its own, restart your Steam client. Servers were taken down briefly and came back up shortly after.
What the hotfix fixes
Various client stability fixes, including a crash that could happen during the The Scourge event.
On October 26 the team already fixed the issue on official servers where some sietches failed to load the Halloween event content – this hotfix extends that fix to all servers.
Fixed an issue where a handful of players could not reach the Paranoid even after killing all four Chosen.
Fixed a crash that could occur when you switched to certain languages – Korean and Japanese among others – while typing in text chat.
What it means for you
If you have been dropping out of the game during The Scourge, this is the patch you were waiting for. The Halloween content fix matters mostly for players outside official servers, who until now could end up in a sietch with no seasonal decorations at all. And if you were stuck at the door to the Paranoid with all four Chosen already dead, that progression wall should be gone now.
